I wouldn't consider myself a patriot or nationalist or loyal to any location to be quite honest. All individual beliefs and actions should come from evaluation of one's self without too much outside influence, otherwise you are pushing someone else's agenda. I just think it's a bit ridiculous to sing about purity while pretending to be English, it's self defeating.

Even when Abba sang in English I wondered why they did not sing in their native tongue but anyway... Guess that's just my opinion. I think you are right that people with similar ideology need to make a change but in my experience all political movements right/left/otherwise destroy themselves from the inside, too much in fighting and wanting to move in different directions and you always have the extremists.
