Violets Spring 2024

After reading a pamphlet on violets at the Mt. Takao Visitor Center, I have come to like violets even more. Violets can be found blooming anywhere along mountain paths, but since they are small and not rare, I feel that not many people stop to look at them. But they are quite deeply profound violets. I hope this video will increase the number of people who like violets.
The most commonly seen violets are the Tachitsubosumire, but there are also other violets such as the Hikage-sumire, Maruba-sumire, and Aoi-sumire blooming on Mt. In the Kanto area, the season of violets is almost over as the stems become longer and longer in May. Here is a list of violets I found near my house, Mt. Takao, Shinjuku Gyoen, Hakone, Mt.
They are said to be distinguished by the shape of their flowers and leaves, but there are many subtle ones, and I am not confident about their names, so I do not list them here.
