I like the green bike nice 👍👍
Yeah me too
You didn't transfer the crown race. That bearing is gonna fall out.
Works great no issues
@@ArizonaLifestyles1 "[The crown race is] the central buffer between the bearing, fork, and headtube. It separates each of these essential front end components so that every piece can rotate independently as you steer the bike through corners."
You absolutely need this. It is a safety concern.
Agree ! Its gonna destroy your fork and head tube
What bearing race? The new springer fork had its own !
@@tvjonesn No, it didn't. French sized frames use a 25.0mm steerer with a 22.0mm ID. The crown race is 26.5mm and the pressed race is 30.2 mm. If you refer to the springer fork chart (m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61PHMtqwpgL._AC_SL1500_.jpg ) you can clearly that the race fits on top of a 27mm OD off the steerer tube. Either this bike is an anomaly that comes stock with a non-standard headset, or you are missing the extra surface area on the crown race for to accommodate for the downward pressure on the bearing.
THIS FORK DOES NOT COME WITH A CROWN RACE.
Well I'll comment if this helps fix mine lol I got a wiggle rn with the spokes
Front wheel or back wheel?
Planning to do this same thing to my huffy cranbrook. Did you notice a reasonable change in ride quality? I ride a lot of gravel roads and want to make my ride a little better as well as keeping that "old school" look. Also I'm curious if I can keep my front fender using one of these forks as well. Thanks
They look awesome - turning radius is a little tighter and they actually change the angle of the front wheel - there is some flex as designed and it can be unnerving as it flexes in corners … cool factor is a 10 … functional factor maybe a 5-6…
As for keeping front fender - sure there is a bolt on the springer front end to keep your fender… but here in AZ we don’t see much water on the roads so we rip them off for a cleaner look
To clarify - there is a bolt hole on the fork from what I remember … I’ll check tonight to confirm
@@ArizonaLifestyles1 thanks for the info!
There is a bolt hole - but mounting a fender on the front may rub if you mount it on that hole with the flex …
Can I install that on my schwinn Huron 7 ?
As long as it can fit your head tube. check the specs of your bike then check the springer fork you are buying to see if they fit
Quick question man should the springer fork bolt on the sides be loose?
I guess the better question is how tight should it be like really tight where's stiff or just tight to where it doesn't loosen?
I put them tight enough that they don’t loosen … over the last year I’ve had to go over all the bolts on this springer to make sure they are tight … I would say that lock tight might be your friend on the side bolts however the side bolts and that hinge point is where you get all of your articulation… these forks are cool looking but at times they are a pain … good question … thanks for watching … J
@@ArizonaLifestyles1thanks for replying, my lowrider bike is my daily to work but everything about it is a pain lol that's part of the fun though:]
The link won’t let me go to the website. Around how much are they? I’m thinking about doing this with my 80cc beach cruiser build
Springer forks are around 60-80 bucks - I wouldn’t suggest doing it on gas conversion. There are other triple tree options that are better … I’d hate to be going 35mph and have one of the screws come off on a springer …
What would some of those other options be?
Can I do this to my genesis onex cruiser
If it has a 1” headtube then yes
@@ArizonaLifestyles1 thanks for answering! I’m not too familiar with what can be changed it’s brand new and I know I want to change the handle bars and put a more aggressive set of cranks on it when they wear out
@@chiii2399 well that’s what Beach cruisers are good for customizing! Make it your own and don’t look back
Are these 26" forks?
Yes
Ok
Grease those bearings more.
I’ll learned since this video more grease is better ! Thanks for watching
