- Twisty Towers - Fareham Hampshire New Development Test Animation.
Modelled in ArchiCAD 19, animated in:
The setting up of the model within animations programs, with materials, objects and timeline took roughly the same time.
Artlantis Studio 6 - The processing took over 2 weeks to create the images that go together to make the animation. The overall quality of the images are really good, and the windows/glass has real reflections.
Twinmotion 2016 - The rich environment and objects really do add to the resulting animation. The program is easy to use. The materials and resulting renders are not quite as good as Atlantis, BUT this really long animation length only took 3 hours to export.
I really do love Twinmotion, and have so much more to learn about all of its features. Кино
Agreed Jason. I plan on giving Twinmotion another try this week. Who knows, with a little patience it might actually get to the levels we all need it to. Thanks.
We use Lumion 6 for our presentation.. Satisfied :)
Can you tell us how much time was spent setting up the two environments in Artlantis & Twinmotion and was there anything you could do just once and share between the two rendering applications?
Also how would you compare Twinmotion to the older Artlantis 4 which was quicker and more forgiving than Version 6?
Thanks
What was the Hardware used in each of these scenario? Also what were the additional processing, memories, storage, etc conditions? We can't compare 'this string with that string', if we don't know all the details & what's your familiarity/experience with either program? Each are nice, in differing aspects!
+digital AS Both were done on:
27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display

4.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.2GHz

Artlantis under OSX 10.11 and Twinmotion in Bootcamp running Windows 8.1
Thanks - do you know what any differences (time, speed, multiple, etc) a jump to using Mac Pro may be? I'm currently guaging a high-end mock setup & there's even "rumours" of an Updated Mac Pro, to soon be released. Atlantis has also recently released a 10.12 update.
Hi, do you use Twinmotion on MAC (Bootcamp)? What are the required computer caracteristics to make it work correctly on a mac? I spoke with a twinmotion sale representative that stated Twinmotion can't run on a mac. What do you think?
Yes, I am running Windows 8.1 on an iMac in bootcamp. It cannot run in OSX. The important thing is the graphics card, make sure you meet the spec on the TM website. It works well, but I so hate windows. They are meant to be working on a Mac version, but I would not hold breath.
Then you must be on a Mac Pro (and not on a Mac Book Pro)?
+camélia Boughaleb yep, a Mac book pro would struggle. I have a current iMac with 4gb video card and it works very well, a Mac Pro would probably be better.
Thanks for your answer !
i'm using 3ds max, vray, autocad, Artlants 6, all those in windows 7 on imac in bootcamp, i install Artlantis 6, look like correctly, but just don't open any file, it's driving me crazy....i'll try this twinmotion....never heard about this program before....by the way ....just as curiosity, you don't have or saw any of this problem i mentioned?
en pregunta como se instala la ciudad
i use 3ds max with vray, the problem is that for video the computer have to be a fucking big computer... for fast render Artlants, now i'm having trouble to open file in Artlantis 6, on windows in IMac bootcamp, but the file does not open.....never heard about this twinmotion, the quality is amazing, if are really all this fast....its fantastic...i'm going to try right now
i used twin motion and its great... its user friendly not so hard to learn not so hard to manipulate...

is there a similar software that doesnt require high performance pc ?
try unreal engine
@@nickwild7629 :D
Lumion 6 all the way
Artlantis is better for interior still images though. Twinmotion and Lumion are fantastic at fast animations but lack the realism of Artlantis, Vray etc.
+Ryan Boundy I do almost agree, and what you describe is how most use it, but if time is short then Twinmotion is able to produce high resolution images that have an artistic realism. Once you start playing with all of the settings, it is amazing what control you have over materials, lighting and atmosphere.
hi Ryan, are you using Artlantis 6 in windows? i'm using 3ds max, vray, autocad, Artlants 6, all those in windows 7 on imac in bootcamp, i install Artlantis 6, look like correctly, but just don't open any file, it's driving me crazy....i'll try this twinmotion....never heard about this program before....by the way ....just as curiosity, you don't have or saw any of this problem i mentioned?
+dorph55, no I have not had any issues with the software which is all run on a Windows PC. I would recommend running Artlantis on the IOS side of things rather than through Bootcamp though. As for Twinmotion, I'm not too sure but would imagine there is an IOS version also. Your issues could simply be a conflict when running through Bootcamp.
I used Lumion for years. But I met Twinmotion today, is easy to use. More realistic. I don't think I will use Lumion again.
You can populate humans and cars. Scatterer is more reliable.
For me twinmotion is better. Artlantis is second, Lumion is third. And Lumen RT is the last.
totalmente de acuerdo
can you tell me why lumen rt is the last ? cause im confused should i try it or not . my pc is not so strong
that's what i like about twinmotion, the paint scatter function that is missing in Lumion.
Artlantis the speed and quality of complete misery
but for me unreal engine blow them out of the water , but of course it is more complex engine but the end result could be amazing
Twinmotion has unreal engine.
yep twinmotion wins for me
