@@fee9687 Adsense profits is the income of the channel covering their general costs and production costs and an income for their time and trouble... If people want to sponsor it then who cares... The adverts seldom last more than 10-15 seconds (apart from the shell oil one which was cringey). Nobody seems to mind when their TV shows actually stop for three minutes in every twenty for a series of adverts.
Gareth is an absolute total fucking legend. Also, and it doesn't get said enough, but props to Ethan for filming it all so sweetly. Great job man. The thing sounds absolutely incredible.

Huge? It's smaller than the original intake.
Vq37 VHR no when they tested the engine on the dyno the exhaust was very restricted, but when it is in phil it will have ca 250 to 260 hp because a free flowing exhaust. and then he will tune the ecu for 280 hp.
@@william911turbos7 I suspect with a remap, race fuel, and different pistons+cams+heads you'd be able to push 400 on an NA setup, but it's not worth the trouble when the car is now lighter than ever and putting too much power in an MX-5 just turns it into a death trap. Between 250 and 300 is the sweet spot for the MX-5 due to weight, traction, and wheelbase limitations.

Gareth reminds me so much of a friend and I working on my cars. He has a solution for everything and then gets stuck with the hard jobs while I manage to screw up the simple tasks he gives me

People can say what ever they like in the comments , but unless you’ve been there, on the driveway, waiting to hear the engine make its first noise, then you can’t fully appreciate how good that feels.
There's no better feeling than starting you project car's new engine late at night in a hurry !
I had to get my e36 bare body assembled all alone in 2 days and travel 500km's to get it registered and I was in a big hurry not to miss the deadline that's tomorrow. Early morning at 4 o'clock it was alive. It was amazing. It was such a junkyard build... Gas tank vent tube for fuel line, no heater, no headlights working, no dirver's side window, etc... My shift knob was an umbrella handle :D
I'm throwing Dirty Diana in for the BMW name.

I have not felt the need to comment on your videos before (not that I don't enjoy them for the record)......BUT......at 14 minutes when you guys started to rev that engine after messing with the fuel pressure....I think I got a semi on. I have never wanted an mx5 before......that may be changing. Keep up the good work chaps (and I second an earlier suggestion for the 320d Diesel McDiesel Face)

I love wagons. I'm not entirely sure why, but the body shape of modern station wagons just appeals to me. All the straight, smooth body lines that flow right down the back of the car are just nice. I'm not sure if the BMW diesel will be able to best the early 2000's Mercedes diesel with a mechanical fuel injector swap, but it'll be fun to see what you can accomplish.

It is really fucking common for an ecu to be placed in an engine bay, it's fine. Also I'm pretty sure the Rocketeer engineers know better than you.

@@tariq3301 Well, I'm really chill, I'm just really getting bored of people on the internet that think they're better than the rocketeer engineers, and many more engineers such as the ones from Vag or Alfa Romeo, that made cars where it is common to find the ecu under the hood.
The e46 should be called David or Charles, seeing as Phil is the mx5, Colin was the e36 m3. It would only seem fitting to fill in Phil Collins' full name

Fun Fact (or story) (not sure if it is real or not):After creating the engine mister Rudolf Diesel sat and though for some time on what name to give the engine until his wife came into his room and said "Why don't you simply call it the Diesel engine?"
And that's how it remained.So the name of the engine is not from Rudolf Diesel.But from his wife.He still patented the engine and he created it but his wife named it.

I think you should pay a visit to nurburgring. For th "M3" 330d name i think that M330D it could be fine. I know its a bit stupid but again we want to make it faster then the m3. Kiss for the miata.
