    It's hard to get rid of certain baby clothes. I have a giant bag full. I can say this because my kids are in their 20s now.....ENJOY THEM WHEN THEY'RE LITTLE BECAUSE THEY GROW FAST!! Before you know it, Nate will be driving. No joke. The time flies and you'll yearn for the days when he was little. I put my kids into preschool 2 days/week when they were 3 1/2 and that's when the illnesses began. I found I almost had more time when they were home than after the preschool started if you factor in all the sick day nightmares. Kids a A LOT of work no matter how you manage your time. You're doing a good job. ❤

    The heat from the light bulb will melt the hot glue gun glue. You can use epoxy resin instead or a 2-part epoxy. Those will withstand the heat where glue gun glue definitely will not.

    I love your plan for the day XX Yep, feeling motivated! THANKS! Glad your shower and facial were FIRST. Honestly, the house can wait, but it feels great if you can find the time! I kept a lot of FIRSTS, first shoes, first hats, first onesies, etc. I still have some of it for my grandkids!!! I need to do a no buy! BUT I will going to Oz later this month (first time in 3.5 yrs) so the no buy can wait! Take it easy. Hugs and love XX

    Regarding baby clothes I really understand you! I was not able to declutter them, I kept them all for further babies. Now, however, I have 5 kids, and finally I can let the clothes go (exept of some very emotional peaces which I keep for my childrens kids... 😉)

    I loved this style video!! Nice to see you taking care of yourself. Something that’s been great for my health these days is cooking a massive pot of soup
    twice a week. It lasts all of our lunches. Always start off my boiling chicken on the bone for an hour, throw veggies and aromatics in the food chopper, dump them into the broth, season and done. It’s so good for the soul and body and I don’t have to think about lunch at all for the whole week. Nice in the cold weather too ❤

    Did you ever get that bean bag filled? We had a mattress cover once where you had to stick in a small an tiny thing like a needle in the zipper to press down a tiny thing and it would open smoothly but otherwise not move a millimeter… don’t know if that was a good description 🙈 hope you got it filled 😘

      Thank you Linda 🥰❤️🙏🏽 I put in it shea butter, sunflower oil, tamanu oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, hemp oil and coconut oil. (And then a few drops of lavender oil too for a relaxing smell, but some people can be sensitive to this) You could mix up a few of your favourite oils, but I’d say the shea butter is what helps it have a nice consistency xx

    I had 3 kids, about 14 months apart, lucky enough to have a part time job that I was able to coordinate w/husband's job. Never had my kids in day care. I always wondered why mom's without a job put their babies in day care??

    • @carolina4720
      @carolina4720 Год назад +4

      Hi there @taniaestes since you ask I will assume it is a genuine curious question. :-) I believe in this case emily does have a job with her content creation. But even without a job here would be in my opinion reasons to have kids in daycare some days: build strong and continuous social ties with other kids, recharge yourself as a mum (everyone does not recharge in social situations sometimes solitude helps), pursue hobbies which are not compatible with kids. Hope it helps!

    • @EmilyElizabethMay
      @EmilyElizabethMay  Год назад +4

      Hey Tania 🥰 yup I send Nate to daycare just one day a week. It’s great for his socialisation and many other things like Carolina said. And in fact I do have a job, I have a blog and RUclips channel, this was my full time job before I had my son. I also find it a great creative outlet for me, I love it. I also have no family or friend support here where we live, so one day at daycare is very helpful in that sense too ❤️

    • @EmilyElizabethMay
      @EmilyElizabethMay  Год назад +3

      I also usually work on Fridays when he’s at daycare, but because we had all been sick and my partner had be overseas for the week I had got behind in many things and wanted to organise my space first. I went into the weekend with a very clear head 🥰

      @@carolina4720Great answer. Let's hope it was indeed a genuine curious question.

      @@EmilyElizabethMayFair enough. I found taking my kids to parks, libraries, etc were great socialization, however if you find it hard to manage everything, a day or two off a week would definitely take a load off. My recharging happened when I left the home for my job as an RN, so I guess if you're not leaving the home for your work, the routine could become very mundane. Keep up the good work ❤
