It seems they had to reduce the overall thickness of the S pen just to fit in a slimmer body. The pen probably didn't have enough space for a bluetooth chip anymore. This happens whens brands chooses aesthetics over functionality

Agreed I seriously doubt they will take it away without taking away the Plus model phone. Because the only really good thing about the Ultra is the sPen.
I don't care about the air gestures that much. What I will miss, though, is using the S pen button as a shutter to take pictures. The air gestures were sometimes annoying while I was using the eraser in notes, the air gestures kept triggering so I don't use them anyway.
The only reason I didn't leave the Samsung phones is the S Pen and remote picture taking. I still will not be upgrading sticking with the S23 ultra! That is a good sign that shows they make a solid flagship!
One of the best uses of the s pen as a camera remote is to be able to use the rear wide able camera for selfies. Using the front camera you can barely get you and your friends in the shot as the field of view is narrow. If you grab the s pen and use wide angle on the back of the camera you get a much wider field of view. Sure you can't see the screen but just take five shots and one of them will be fine. I've been traveling for two months now and to get great wide angle scenic shots with me in them, I use this all the time. If you haven't tried it you gotta do so!
Forgot to add..... When using the back cameras for self portraits, you get use of Samsung's HDR, which from what I understand is not available on the front cameras..... Atleast on my S22 ultra.
I really need the Bluetooth function on spen since I created a routine on routines+ app to run a touch macro to scroll up and down on social media, if this gets taken out, I won't be upgrading from my s22 ultra
I mean maybe they chose to do these things to keep the phone lower in price. We forget that if they improve things every year it also should get more expensive each year. People can not spend too much more than what it already costs.
It could be because they want to add magsafe to it and if you have a 23 or 24 ultra and you have a magsafe case the Bluetooth will sometimes disconnect because of the magnet in the back
The plus version should have all the features of the ultra but i dont know why most of the important features are taken from it and left for only the ultra
I can see me keeping my s23 ultra again for another 2 years, I last did this with my S7 I had this phone for 5 years downgraded and just had a SIM Only Contract, nothing major changes were done between S7 & the S23 Ultra when I upgraded
Wow for that price range (1500€ on average in Europe) the S25 Ultra is for sure disappointing 😢. I was expecting at least : 3000 nits, M14 screen, 6000 mah battery, 65w charging capacity, 10x telephoto optical zoom, a new main sensor such as the amazing Sony LYT818 equipped by the Vivo X200 Pro...

I heard about the S Pen downgrade a couple of times, but I find it pretty hard to believe. But if true, then there's no real good reason to get the Ultra, especially since the 25+ has mostly everything the Ultra has for hundreds less. The only thing that really separates the Ultra is the S Pen with those enhancements. It makes no sense for Samsung to take away the one, and arguably the best, reasons why people want the Ultra. Does Samsung really want to risk the 25+ sales cannibalizing the Ultra? When the tipster talked about what retail stores are saying, I think we got to remember they aren't the techiest of people either. They only have a general knowledge of things, and they're not necessarily well versed with any one particular item. Plenty of times have I seen the person in a department selling the item, but didn't know all that much about it. Is this possibly the case here? 🤷 Shame on Samsung of true, especially charging all that money for it. Might as well go for the 25+, the 24 Ultra (which is still a great phone) or stick with what you got. This will be a major step backwards if true.

I tried the S24 Ultra for 8 months after switching from iPhone. It was a very capable phone but overly complicated. I got used to all of its features but was more than I needed.
