I am blown away by this. I challenge anyone to find a more beautiful rendition of the beloved caprices on the internet. But it’s not a competition of course, this wonderful playing stands on its own and the test of time. The highest of respect. ❤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My three simple measures of a good fiddler: (1) play in tune, (2) "sing" like a Russian, and (3) play every note .... You never look like you are trying to play - you just play "effortlessly"..... like Gitlis, Heifetz, Francescatti, Milstein,.... Even these "etudes" are immensely enjoyable. Bravissimo!!!
Hi,Im a kid 10 years old and i lovee the 24 caprices now i play the violin concerto of bach in E and i have hird this video more than 10 times and i think everyone can play these peisez cause the secret is slow practise thats why Antal plays so good
Ahhhhhh man after listening to this I just feel like I've had a perfect set dinner which would worth hundreds of dollars. So satisfying, so celestial, so musically captivating! Much love and respect goes to you, Antal!!!! Congratulations on completion of this wonderful recording.
Thank You so much !!.. 30 years ago when i was in music school (played guitar and piano, some violin) i used to listen to a cassette tape of Nicolo's 24 caprices while driving, every day... The degree of difficulty is incredible and you sir, have mastered it... Found this today and im so happy...
I like very much the way you play Paganini. Clear, precise and at perfect speed. When they interpret too quickly, in my opinion, it takes away from the beauty of the caprice. Congatulation.
Flawless technique coupled with a vibrant, robust tone. Masterly playing. Thanks for sharing your gift. Niccolo would have been all smiles hearing this.
Pleasure to hear such a beautiful interpretation of Paganini's whims, some of which I have also played. Bravo Antal nga Albania.Kenaqesi te degjosh nje interpretim kaq te bukur te kapriceve te Paganinit, disa prej te cileve i kam luajtur edhe une.
It's like I finally got to see what it would be like to watch Paganini practice!!! (Tuning my violin 1 thru 24 by Nicolo Paganini...lol) Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Adrian Fernandez, It took me years to even understand the language of this kind of music. I come from pop, rock and hop hop. I'm an 80's "baby" now 38, and for the longest time, try as I might, I could not stomach this type of music. It just didn't fit what I believed music should be, no pounding drums, a lack of easily digested hooks and melodies, lengthy multi-note passages. I lost interest in all music (yes, it's an actual thing that happens) abount 6 years ago. Only recently have certain aspects, esthetics, tonalities so forth been standing out to me... particularly those from this genre of music, from this specific composer. All of a sudden it speaks to me and I can understand enough of what it's saying to encourage me to keep listening...closely. I had to mature out of one kind of music and into another, so I can't do a better job at explaining why this vid has so few views but I can account for the number of times I've watched it.
DVSM- Dude, learn to appreciate beautiful music. Yeah, these caprices are great for technique, but right now, I’m listening to all of them for the first time, and I’m captivated, especially by the minor caprices. This guy really helps by being an amazing violinist, but the caprices, and Paganini himself, are amazing representatives of classical music to the outside world, maybe not the most well known, but definitely overqualified candidates. If some people can come from rock to classical through the caprices, doesn’t that raise the credibility of them being beautiful pieces? All I’m saying is, that practice pieces can sound beautiful too, not just performance pieces
Amazing performance, Mr Zalaï, congratulations. As a violinist myself who has played some of those caprices, I can also relate! One of the best version of them I have ever heard, with unique phrasing and musicality. Thank you, and bravo!
Fantasztikus!
@@groaman I know your comment was 2 yrs ago but had to just say I disagree with the caprices not being emotional. All Paganini work is very expressive and emotional imo. The difference is there are so many colour changes within just 1 caprice that it's can be difficult to really recognise the intention of the compos or before it changes again. The performer gets the choice of what they want to highlight in each caprice I guess.
It keeps astonishing me how people still think of classical music as snobbish. The relentless and infinite humidity needed to learn, perform, record and edit this video is proof of the great spirituality of Mr. Zalai. Chapeau!
Most underrated violinist on the internet! He also does the most amazing Bach interpretations. Antal's Bach sonatas and partitas are immensely beautiful. They strike a perfect balance between poetry and precision
Excelente.
I have no problem in saying that in the movements, in the technique and, above all, in the cleanliness and quality of the sound, Antal recalls two sacred monsters such as Oistrakh and Perlman. Great!
Amazing performance from 0:00 to the full hour and a half ! Not one mistake! Clear and expressive. And what a great idea to perform each one in a different solid colour shirt :-) Well done, BRAVO!
wonderful, my appreciation for your own steady, well managed and beautiful playing. Playing all 24 caprices, very few violinists in the world capable of this. RESPECT!
this is so good I just keep coming back and watching the whole thing over and over...sometimes I just listen because every note in this performance is so clear!!!

well it has double that, so some recognition has been done.
The only thing missing from this performance is explosive applause at the end--remarkable playing.
Violin technique at its ultimate.
The first complete visual collection of 24 Paganini caprices, played very precisely and beautifully. You have done a great job.
fabulous interpreter...
Thank you very much, Mr. Harrell!

I love how Mr Zalai fabulously played all 24 caprices while wearing similar colorful sweaters.

great tips with being fiddler!
Spectacular, no violinist I have ever heard has played every single Paganini caprice with such a beautiful tone!
Yes, yes, a fine violinist. What is truly remarkable however, is your stunning range of turtlenecks... ;) :)

Paganini's subscription for how to practice literally every violin technique in an hour and a half!!! Wonderful!!!
The Paganini Caprices are by far the best musical work by an Italian composer.
thank you thank you thank you....so very beautiful!!!! truly a gift to us all
This is one of the best recordings of the caprices I have heard. Thank you very much for posting you are an amazing violinist.
This is my daily video so I could practice 24 Caprices & learn from Antal Zalai a fabulous violinist with great integrity Cnacbo Antal!
Köszönöm szépen! I play the violin and now I've found a modern day artist of the violin in you!
Best 5th caprice I’ve heard, earned a like.

This is not meant to be a beautiful music that people should listen to. It's to practice technique.

Absolutely spectacular. I love the way you play - your technique and emotion are inspiring. :)

We should be sure not to confuse emotion with expressiveness. The Caprices are characteristic, but they are not necessarily emotional.

Very well played! It's kinda funny how the shirt changes after each Caprice... :)
Because different days. No one can play more than 1 or so caprices in the same day or they will lose their music forever. Or so says the legend.
lapidations thats is completely inaccurate. Several people have played all the caprices in one concert. I can list some for you if you would like. :)
Madmax 8792 welcome to the joke dude
soft milk ?
Madmax 8792 the whole “dont play 1 or so caprices“ is a joke lmao
Dear Antal Zalai! I love your music!
What a fantastic interpreter, this is fabulously clear and expressive. Can't wait to be able to play it
Sehr schöne Interpretation! Super Artikulation und Intonation! Endlich einer, der diese Caprise musikalisch spielt!

Very smooth and powerful at the same time. Congratulations, it's a pleasure to listen to your playing. :)
I hear this everytime i go to sleep and sleeps every time
And it’s so amazing every time
¡Bravo!
You have amazing tone, technique, and intonation!
Incredible !!!
Thank you very much !!!
this is so beautiful. this song is really difficult to play. i'm so happy to see talented people like you. congrats.

Hey, I just discover you, I love how you play, I love how humble you are, it's a pleasure to listen and to watch. Thank you.
Thank you, I know I'll probably never be this good at violin (started playing in my late 20s) but it's nice to see what is possible for the instrument
Bravo Maestro!!!!!
probably greatest violin tone ive ever heard, starting 4th caprice. impossible but easy
even after watching many times I still can't be sure what he is doing with his right hand during the technical parts of Caprice #1! Amazing!
