That was unreal. And the honest reaction is priceless!! Great video, man.
I am 6 minutes in and this is the first time in years that I have watched a magic video for this long with my mouth open lol. Usually I am like "Ahh yeah that's cool, but not baffling because it is just a remake of _____" This guy has rocked my shit with his sleights.
It must be an awesome feeling as a Magician, to be as amazed as the rest of us again. Perhaps even more so because you recognize how hard his sleight of hand movements are
I agree, inventing new methods and training yourself to do something and master it without a guide or reference is impressive. I'm not a magician. But, I taught myself to do a griffin roll because I have a ring and wanted to learn. I tried to do something over and over and failing because I was physically unable to do it. Eventually I learned to do it and have "mastered" it. Its crazy how we can create new neural pathways and train our bodies to do things. What an awesome video.
This gives me that "seeing magic for this first time" feeling.... something I rarely get anymore since I "know too much and have seen too much". Truly inspiring.
Frame by frame you can see how a lot of these are done, but you get basically ONE frame to try to figure it out. The skill is insane!! Makes me wonder how much of these are like 'trickshot' videos - where they take a bunch of takes to make the final shot look so crisp.
Just saw Jason on the short story and love the slide of hand moments. He actually liked my comment. I wasn't expecting to see this one again. It's amazing what you all can do. I do think you all have some type of magic in you. No matter what. Novice to the most experienced, it's amazing.
Holy crap! That very first trick, the card gun, stepping through frame by frame he does it so freaking crisp it's like 1.25 frames total, and the second card is placed PERFECTLY where the first one was. EDIT: Alright wo I was way too impressed way too early, this guy is insane what the actual heck.
A couple of those snaps have a frame missing, but a solid move nonetheless. It can be seen as a very slight jump in the background. I actually don't think of it as cheating because video viewers will stop motion to see how it's done, but the live effect is extremely fine and not discernible. The slight jerking motion of the hand is legit and helps disguise the snap of the third finger and crossing of the card. Very inspiring. Wanting to take my snap up a few notches! Ok, maybe I need to take them up more than a few. Now if I can only figure out how to do it noiselessly with silver dollars...
So good I have to leave another thank you I worked 9pm-10am sitting here winding down this was the notification I received and I am not disappointed what a great way to end your night
the strobe thing was used in 'now you see me' when they made rain stop (strobes completely matching camera or eye framerate) and then go up (the strobe is slightly higher frequency)

16:47 onion skin traps air. The air reflects the light, making it look transparent. (The skin of each layer is like Cyrano wrap, whill the flesh is opaque)
5:35 If you use the < & > keys while watching on RUclips, you can skip the video frame by frame. He does not use his 3rd finger, but you can see the moment he exposes the Queen behind the 6, then completes the push back of 6, and forward with the Q.
Love you Chris!! I haven't watched you in a bit, missed these kind of videos. You gonna get the crew together for another round of you flash you lose? See where everyone is at after so much time away because of covid and what not.
Pause [SPACE] at 6:31 and use the comma and period keys to go forward and backwards frame-by-frame. The moment the card changes, you can see the five of spades between the fingers of his left hand. Also, go back and forth between those two frames and you'll see how his finger position changes. What he's done is flick the 5 into his left hand and then conceal it as he pretends to hold the card with the left hand. All done in one frame. Quite amazing. The fact that he flips it so accurately into his hand shows how much practice he's done.
The small shop at 4:00 is called Tam Shepherds Trick Shop, it's in the center of Glasgow in Scotland. Such a great place for cards, magic tricks and even practical jokes. I first visited when I was a kid and now I visit with my kids.

The onion thing is an optical illusion caused by the thin layer of air caught under the super thin membrane that is between layers of onion. It is sometimes left behind when you peel away the layer above it.
It felt a lot like a skateboard video. Love it! Now that’s something I’d watch endlessly: a magic/skateboarding video. Hit up Rodney Mullen, he’s practically a magician with a skateboard and probably would be all over a collab like that!
Caught myself saying to myself out loud earlier in the video, "This guy's figured out how to do back to back snaps or something.....that would open up SO many doors to new slights." 8:53 - sure enough.

5:0l0 he uses his pinky actually. If you look closely, he has it bent all the way in. Covered by the 3rd finger, which doesn’t move, it flicks the card behind for the snap trick.
16:21 🤯I think it's called light refraction or refractive index...something like that. When a liquid changes the opacity of an object when covered or submerged in it like in this clip🧐
I watched that slow flip card change and was baffled but when you did the motions I realized how it was done. All I have to say is damn his hands are fast and dexterous.
The 'onion' thing is possibly a creamy coloured plastic thing encased in a clear polycarbonate optical lens. Outside of the water the lens magnifies the plastic inside so it appears to be that colour entirely, whereas when its immersed in water the magnification is cancelled out by the light refraction properties of water and you see what the object really is.
At 4:27 I believe he is using his pinky finger. After the change between 4:28 and 4:29 you can see his pinky finger come back to normal position. It is tucked up and touching the corner of the card that you can't see before the change. That is the only way I can think he is doing it. Must have very flexible hands!! Awesome video!!
He has upgraded most of the classıc shifts to levels that resurrected them and carried to present day. Snap change, sweep change - bill malone would use them regularly, variations of drop change added a flick to make it instant, and some pinkie pass again done right as color change. SUPERB! I’m guessing from the video he is based in Scotland. I’m part Scottish so that is all kinds of cool. Nothing else but total admiration for the skills and showmanship, good find 👍🏻

17:12 sounds like when you stomp on the gas pedal of an old fuel injected 4cyl ....mad love and respect!! I also cannot stop thinking about that mario lopez...
8:11 Nice move. Think the card is sticky to another. While turning he pushes it in, not seen when looking straight to it, and the other one pushes out. Really nice!
That first snap change... I think he's using is PINKY! He's got all tucked up under his ring finger which looks super awkward (not to mention uncomfortable) once you notice it, but the card change totally breaks any attention you may have wanted to give it. Very smooth, very cool. The last snap changes at the end were definitely, obviously, his ring finger. But on the first one, the card motion and hand position is different.
The kid releases the loop on the underside of the arm from one hand, and then both hands grab the same side of the loop while still bellow the arm; when he pulls back he simply slides both hands apart (which were together) to the extremeties of the circle and it flattens out.
