    Good review... I'm a few months into my 2023 Hybrid Limited and I have to say this vehicle has surpassed my expectations, it's smooth and quiet, the features are outstanding and the gas mileage is great for the size. I shopped around and looked at quite a few comparable vehicles before settling on the SF. For the price it's a great vehicle and the warranty gives some peace of mind for the next 5 years. I haven't noticed any rattling in 2nd gear.

    The "rattling" you are hearing is the GDI.
    I was worried there was something wrong with my 2022 Tucson Hybrid SEL (shares the same drivetrain) and nope..Its just the way it is.
    My brother also has a 2022 Tucson Hybrid Blue and his does the same thing.
    Asked the Hyundai Dealer near me and they said it was totally normal.
    Great review!

    [finicky gear shifter better than a stalk on the column] - Why? Do you keep shifting it all the time? In an automatic having it anywhere but on a column is a waste of space and a pretense. It's not a stick shift. You only use it to make it go and make it stop.

    Why does the SF hybrid Blue trim get 36mpg and the Limited gets 33mpg? Is it the wheel size/weight difference 17” vs 19” ?

    [center console is near perfection] - I wish those infernal contraptions were gone and we had an option of a split bench upfront, but manufacturers did not want to put the third airbag, so they made people believe they would rather had vast expanse of plastic in the middle instead of a usable space.

    Does anyone have the Blue trim and/or have driven the Blue AND the SEL or Limited Santa Fe Hybrid? I'm curious how the 17" wheels feel in terms of smoother ride/handling compared the 19" ones other than the obvious better gas mileage you get with the 17". I have test driven a 2022 or 2023? Hyundai XRT recently but of course like most dealerships across the country, there are no hybrids on the lots to test drive. This question is coming from someone who has driven a Fiat 500L for the past several years. Don't judge, please.

    I sell Lexus for the last 10 years and I bought the 2022 Santa Fe hybrid limited last February. Not only is Hyundai offering quality vehicles these days but the engineering is very smart. I could list at least a dozen examples but one that stands out is how sensible the remote start feature operates. I can control the AC, defrosters, and heated steering wheel based on weather conditions and upon entering the vehicle the engine stays on. No restarting (as with Lexus), and no “push the brake pedal and hit the start button” as with most other brands. All I do is enter the Santa Fe, put it in drive and go! Hyundai isn’t perfect, but you’d do well to compare it to whatever else you’re looking at. No other brand in my opinion is packing more bang for the buck whether mass market or luxury. And by the way, the warranty and service package are unrivaled in the industry.

    • @nicksonillustration9433

      There’s no comparing this to a Venza, Rav4 or CRV. Even if the pricing is similar. I’ve had the Santa Fe Hybrid for a month and I can’t find any fault with it, including the center control area. All the buttons within reach and are nicely organized. Quiet and luxurious.

    • @Hallowsaw
      @Hallowsaw 2 года назад

      @@KirkKreifels the sportage has almost identical rear seat volume as the santa fe. So if that is the case, how does a smaller vehicle beating crossovers in the next size up and still keeping the same cargo space and passenger volume. How are they making it shorter length wise with the same hybrid powertrian that they are using for the sorrento and santa fe?
      In other words what is the selling point of a santa fe over a sportage if they drive the same. Looks? That doesnt justify a 39k mid trim santa fe when you can get a maxed out sportage hybrid for 38k... i dont see what hyundai was doing with the santa fe.
