Replacing the valve of a beach volleyball

Some of my favourite beach volleyballs had leaky valves. These valves can be replaced, but it's a bit tricky. I finally figured it out. The video shows how to replace the valve of a beach volleyball. From what I have seen, the process is pretty much the same for basketballs ( • How to replace the inf... ) and footballs ( • Replace soccer ball va... ).

For example, searching for "mikasa valve replacement" comes up with a few hits. You could also try your local sports shop.

Managed to order some from the German supplier posted on the link below. Hopefully they'll get here soon. If they do happy to put some on Ebay for whoever needs them (I've had the same issue for 4 years ...). Reply here if needed.

This blows my mind. I strongly believe a ball with a shot valve was garbage. That is so cool.

Ein weiterer Trick zum Entfernen des alten Ventile: gibt Öl an das Ventil und arbeitet das Öl zwischen der ersten Leder-Lage des Balls und dem Ventil ein. Das geht gut mit dem Haken. Dadurch gleitet das Ventil beim Ziehen leicht heraus.
Ebenso beim Einsetzen des neuen Ventils Ventil einölen und und nicht versuchen das Ventil vollflächig in den Ball zu drücken, sondern eher leicht verkanntet einer leichten leichten Bewegung des Stabes.

Where can we find perfect fit valve replacements? I tried some on Amazon but they're too big and require modification with a knife to get them smaller.

У меня аж сердце начало болеть когда он начал столько манипуляций делать, и вправо и влево, можно только сосок испортить. Я делаю проще, вытаскиваю старый сосок медицинскими щипцами, а засовую предворительно смазал кремом для бритья, сверху придавливаю большим палцем и тоненькой лопаткой (стомотологической) придавливаю скраю, залазит одна сторона, а потом другую сторону и все. Сам процес у меня занимает в пять раз быстрее чем у этого чудака на видео, главное приловчиться.
