Both the Steelworks & Tubeworks office blocks have now been demolished, in around 3 years time when the Tubeworks finally ceases to exist no one will know why the new town of Corby was built ( As most new towns are built to help the overflow population from large cities.
@@scudger99 At the moment there are still a couple of hundred folk working at the Tubeworks, but demand has been decreasing for some time now plus they are the biggest rate payers in the town, so financially it is not looking great.
@@mrwilliecowie A close friend of mine finally took redundancy from the Slitting Plant last year, and when he went I kinda figured they must have been winding down. I see some construction going on there though, what appears to be a massive honeycomb of steel tubing that's growing daily. Any idea what that is ?
