@@williamfisher866 the bottom tier of the SEC 🤣🤣. It’s gonna get nasty. I personally think 315 is conservative. At least 350 and 3+ touchdowns. No int’s and no fumbles. You need to focus on Mertz being able to throw over 5 yards. Dink and dunks won’t work on us.

All the people talking turnovers for Cam have no clue what they’re talking about or watched games . The guy had the worst OL is football and the 131rst run game while putting up big numbers and rarely throwing int’s. Yea he had fumbles but the guy got killed in the pocket .
he’s much more careless with the football than he should be especially compared to mertz who also had a poor oline

@@rickyrougs I agree at a surface level, Florida's offensive line was rough, I mean they gave up 39 sacks, which WAZU gave up 38 so yeah same league. I also agree that watching Ward, particularly in his first season with the Cougars, he was WAY too loose with the ball on his scrambles, and likely that majority of his fumbles were 100% on him.
Ward's usage last year, though, is a whole other story, and it's why I think he might (emphasis on might) be better about turnovers on a Miami team that is a decided upgrade at the o-line than anything he's ever had (and is much better than anything UF will be fielding any time soon by the looks of it). His usage makes me think of a Caitlin Clark, or insert any high usage point or shooting guard out in the land of ole basketball. High usage tends to come with high turnover rate. Ward threw 127 more passes than, and also was credited with 58 more carries. Mertz had Montrell and Etienne last year, good for 280+ carries and 1500+ yards. Ward's leading rusher was Nakia Watson, 81 carries for 321 yards. He not only was sacked as much as Mertz, he scrambled more, and opposing defenses knew they could focus on coverage and ignore their run game. Opponents couldn't do that with Florida.
I think Ward's improved his ball security, and I think this year it's going to look a little different than even his time our west. It could be a huge flop, but better o-line, better RB room even before adding Martinez, and proven talent at WR (he did have some great receivers at WAZU so I don't want to instantly say there's an upgrade there), it seems more likely than not that at the very least Miami's offense is going to score a lot of points. Don't know if that means a lot of wins, but there's definitely a reason the O/U even in the swamp is sitting at just about 55 with Miami at a -2.5 when the other two marquee matchups of the weekend are sitting at 46.5 and 49.5 on their O/U (ND vs TAMU and Georgia vs Clemson respectively). Honestly it's probably only under 60 because both teams are such unknown quantities, but if it's close, I think someone is going to be outscoring someone at the end, not getting an epic stop.
Mertz had one of the worst Olines in the country last season and was playing in the SEC… had three pics all season. Your point is not valid

I think the Clemson game has a good chance of being much closer than people (even Vegas) seems to think. Some things that are in Clemson's favor:
- Clemson was #4 in defensive efficiency, and defense is always ahead of offense in week 1 anyway
- On the topic of offense vs defense, have Carson back is great, but they're replacing a LOT of production out of the offense this year. Reloading is going to happen, it's Georgia, but the flash is coming in spring and fall practices. That connection in live game scenarios, against again above point a top 5 defense, is not going to be as immediate.
- Georgia (and other SEC teams are guilty of this), always play in these BS "neutral" field games that are held literally in the state the SEC team is from. Florida plays neutral site games in Orlando, LSU and Georgia just go to pro stadiums, it's usually a joke. Clemson travels well, and Atlanta is not much of a road trip from South Carolina. The crowd will be dominated by red, but don't be surprised to see a large portion of the stadium in burnt orange.
- It's week 1, this is part of the first 2 points, but needs to be emphasized. Mistakes are going to be made, the offenses are both going to be ugly. That plays into Clemson's favor because their offense isn't really that good hitting on all cylinders. 2021 these two teams met in a week 1 matchup, Georgia won 10-3
There's a good probability I'm wrong, but I'm shocked there aren't more people circling that game as a trap game, and instead just insisting it's going to be a full on statement blowout game for Georgia. Multiple factors point to a low scoring slug fest that Georgia likely wins, but I just don't see a 31-17 score coming, it's probably going to be like 14-10 with lots of punts and field position battles....maybe 14-3 I could see Clemson not scoring a TD. I don't see then getting 17 and losing by 14 though. Not with their defense, and not in week 1 at a neutral site they should have decent representation at.
I just got one question…can Florida block? The d line alone is going to be something to watch

Give them Cajuns a reason too drink all day then party at night and you have a recipe for a crazy atmosphere. The talent levels are not far off on these teams, there is a reason the spread lines are so small from Vegas; either team could win this

Question is... can Cam hold onto the ball, he is a turnover champion. TVD with the Cane's last year had almost the same stats as Cam. No real improvement. Gators by a million
Cam had a thousand more passing yards, 6 more TDs, and 5 less interceptions than TVD. All while having the worst Oline and no running game. Miami had the 2nd least sacks given up in ACC so Cam will have plenty of time to throw.
Michigan will be lost this year. They actually play a schedule. Lost too many good players.
Canes are not jelled. Too many new pieces not united. Gators are going to show the difference between a team and just a group of guys with talent. Miami loses by at least 10.
You don’t know what the canes are because you haven’t seen them. They could be just as jelled as the 11-0 FSU team that beat UF last year.
Miami has the talent but not the coaching to use it. Florida is a dumperfire but we’ll keep an eye out for surprises. Neither of these teams beat a healthy Seminoles roster though
Seminoles had a healthy roster against us Canes. We played them with a Freshman QB and kept the game close. 🤷🏾♂️

Your not paying attention to how much experience florida has added in the transfer portal and how many freshman we had starting last season, this is going to be a very different gator football team from last year, we got four blue chip receivers lined up ready to go two of them being seniors and one having years of chemistry with Graham mertz, our offensive line was banged up last year and we had people playing out of position from what they normally would, we basically have a whole new DB room and got Justis Boone back along with Grayson Howard, we got Joey slackman the #1 defensive end in the transfer portal and LJ McCray the number 1 defensive lineman in the 24 class… so many additions, don’t be fooled, this isn’t gonna be some type of cake walk like y’all keep yapping about
