    So I need to set the transformer such N that I have close to resonance action for zvs, but I have a 10 amp max supply and this do most of the time 1/10 of that, so I need to stay there, then it is maybe better a LCC because these can do much more narrow frequency shift for operating, the LC is much wider. Nice video,s.

    thanks for this great videos.. i have a question and it will be great if you answer me .. if we have a variable input dc voltage could we have a constant output..

      Hi Rawan, the answer is maybe. It really all depends on how fast the input is varying. Implementation of an LC or LLC converter requires output regulation and is a closed loop feedback system. Therefore, the control system adjusts the switching frequency of the input half-bridge based on the output voltage. Also, the range on your gain is highly dependent on Q and your load. Finally, the time-constant of your control loop (not covered in this video) will determine how quickly the system will respond to output changes or if the system is underdamped (overshoots the target voltage). Actually i am trying to design an ultra low power and low voltage self controlled boostconverter using a transformer..but i am confused a little because the input voltage range is between 0.2 volts and 3 volts..could i have constant 5 volts with a regulation circuit and closed feed back system?

    Does series LC Tank amplify power? Since the impedance is Zero and the voltage is amplified then we must have higher power with higher Q factor

      Hi BlackKnight, no the average power can not be amplified and is less than the average power provided by the DC source. While the reactive part of the impedance is zero when switching at the resonant frequency, the resistive part of the impedance is not. This resistive part is the equivalent load impedance reflected back to the primary side of the transformer. Hope this helps. Best wishes on your design. -Dr K
