He is insane . He has Djokovic-esque natural timing and power in his groundstrokes and return . If he improves his serve and touch game . Kid is going to the very very top
Not to take away this amazing display by Nishesh but Spizzirri would’ve been a bit more fatigued after taking out Tien in 3 hard fought sets. In any case I think Nisesh’s game is much nicer to watch than Tien. No doubt will be seeing Tien Vs nisesh in the near future would be a cracker !
I like Nishesh's returns and forehand out of all the shots. FH take back is compact and fluid and he attacks returns which keeps servers on check all the time. ATP tour calling 📞
That's what I said on a different highlight video and everyone acted real smug like he's not gonna make it, but let's see, I mean he just doesn't seem to have any weaknesses and plays so smart, and return is definitely a weapon especially against second serves
@@VARMOT123 that would be amazing to see and I definitely think he’ll improve a good deal, he’s only 19 and already beating some top fifty and type players. Wonder if he’ll go pro rather than return to Stanford
Not to nitpick Spizziri's game since he's obviously really good but this outcome is to be expected when you don't work on your serve technique or placement - a good returner like Basavareddy will eat him alive. It's also tough when your only game style is to just 'rally' and Basavareddy is attacking so frequently with huge crosscourt shots or coasting into the net
This is a great point. Spizziri is a really good player, but it seems like his main play is to just get a lot of balls back. He also doesn’t seem to direct his second serve that well. He’s got to start taking some chances against these top guys.
Well, I also would think that it could be fatigue since if you look at it before the match, he played in a very hard three set match against Learner Tien
@@VARMOT123 nishesh played an outstanding match and was barely cheered by the crowd meanwhile spizzirri won like 4 points in the whole match and got a huge ovation.
He better stay there, his birth country. There are very few tournaments in India and India tennis politics is absolute garbage, it's a mess.. STAY AWAY! Top Indian players like Sumit and Yuki have shunned playing for India more or less..
Still not sure how Spizzirri beat Tien in the semis. Might have been the very best he’s ever played. Certainly didn’t bring that level today. Just a demolition. So much to like about Nishesh’s game, always looking for an opportunity to attack, especially on second serves, and the precision in hitting one line and then the other, rather than just trying to hit through his opponent. Most important IMO though is his mental toughness. I would argue that his mental game is already top 10 in the world. So focused, every shot has a purpose, thinking several shots ahead, no celebrating, just the mind and process of an assassin. My new favorite player. Looking forward to seeing a fellow nerd have success on tour.
@@andrewash9318 Hard to say how much Eliot playing doubles affected him. Maybe he ran out of gas. Even though he still would've lost with Nishesh level today. Only the score might have been different.
You guys have to relax. He has been playing without pressure. The college WC, nothing to lose. Let‘s watch what he does in the coming years, then talk.
