All that's missing from the end is Vincent Price's laugh. ;)
Does anyone remember Dr Anton Phibes playing this
Great Sean, Dr Phibes would be proud of you :)
B-r-i-l-l-i-a-n-t! Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for a musical experience that brought tears of joy to my eyes!
As the baby bear said ' not too fast not too slow just the right tempo". Excellent performance. Kudos to Mr. Jackson masterfully played!
You did Mr Mendelssohn proud. A great performance of this superb piece of music. Bravo!
My very dear Mr Jackson!!!! Your War March Of The Priests has just blown away every other version including Nicholas Kynaston off the face of the Earth!!!
Church music has been my life so I have heard it all!
I have never heard anything so magnificent in my life so
thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx
He has brought tears to my eyes. Outstanding.
Of all the versions I have heard on here this must be the best it's at the correct speed Brilliant thank you
Wow! So clear. My 1969 Port Arthur TX Lincoln High School graduation march. The music was so great and had us feeling the grand entrance to celebrate our accomplishments. Thanks for this great reminder.☺
Thank you for a masterful performance of one of my favorite pieces! Mendelssohn was at the top of his game when he wrote that!
Our music master used to play it after assembly at senior school That is where I grew to love it!! Good old Mr. Miles.
Perfection in every aspect...crisp, joyous! Here is a splendid example of why the organ is the King of Instruments!
I will be playing this wonderful piece (although not ALL of it) as a voluntary after our Remembrance Day service at church. I am using Mr Jackson's rendition as a guide to TRY to emulate!
Our high school Merry High School from Jackson-Tn played this at all graduations up until 1970. I had always dreamed of marching down the aisles in our auditorium. But they combined two schools and I missed out on it.
Love this music💖
Excellent! Brings back memories of my high school graduation over 100 years ago! This march was played as our processional... You're an outstanding organist!
My 1967 class at G.W. Carver High school in Houston, Tx. band played this march for our class. It felt so Grand then, and still does today, when I hear it. I played it on piano for my class to march in for our Class Night.
Perfect tempo...best version ever...
Best rendition I've heard to date. I return here often.
We had this music for our wedding but listening to Mr Jackson play it brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. Wonderful.
Theodora Alleyne, Barbados
Awesome Barbadian talent! To God be the glory.
Wow! This brings me many memories of my high school graduation.
By far the clearest and best paced rendition of this I've ever heard...excellent video too:)
bravo MR. Jackson.
this was the music played at my elementary school end of year graduation ceremonies in the 60's. I attended Halifax Ladies' College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Each grade walked into the halll in a procession. It was grand. Thanks for nostalgia!!
must echo other comments and say this is the best version of the organ arrangement of this song that I have found on youtube. I normally would not comment on such a thing, but this was so remarkable and the impression it made on me so strong that I couldn't not. Thank you for this beautiful rendition.
Wow...I am so amazed by your God given Talents....when we get "home"...will you please teach me this one?...I love for heaven...our true home!
Bellísima interpretación de Athalia. Felicidades Mr. Sean Jackson, es usted genial. Dios le bendiga!!! Saludos desee San José de Costa Rica y un fuerte abrazo 🎹❤️🤗😙
This is my first time hearing from you, keep it up Sean Jackson.
Best of the best
Mr Jackson, that was wonderful. Great tempo so that all might be understood. And you have a smooth pedal technique.
truly fantastic rendition Sean, Felix would be proud...
Glorious.
I really enjoyed that Sean thanks for sharing it with us! :o)
Phenomenal Performance
Wonderful , Mr. Jackson along with Diane Bish and Marko den Toom make for some great listening for the senses.
Oh Great! Super organ and a superb organist! =D
Excellent!
Many thanks.
What? no comment? Well, we will fix that right now! Sometimes I program this selection for my musicales of short organ pieces as "The Priest's March," so the title will be more acceptable in a church with the cleric (s) than "War March of The Priests." This is one of my favorite pieces... The first time I heard it was when I was in the second grade of elementary school... I had a part in a so-called "Tom Thumb Wedding..." The pianist played this selection as the Processional... There was no printed program, and no one announced the title of the piece.... Thanks to youtube, I rediscovered this selection...Many thanks for your video, Dr. Jackson, from someone who lived in Greenwich, Conn. for a couple of years when he was very young.
I had this for my wedding and thought that the words "March of the Priests" would be more acceptable on our wedding sheets in the church. After our wedding the Rural Dean took me to one side and asked me with some amusement as to why I hadn't used the correct title.
Excellent Sean, very well played indeed! Thank you
Thank you Sean, for sharing this finely played classic!
