Jeremy Strong plays the vulnerability of a meek boy and the false bravado of a slimy businessman simultaneously with such precision and grace. It's often a subtle performance, but his talents are considerable.
Perfect description. It's not an easy role, sometimes discreet, sometimes disturbed, sometimes vulnerable, sometimes violent and obsessed. His desire to be more than he is, his passion, makes him intriguing for those who support him, but we know that deep down, he is extremely unprepared. I think the character is more complex to compose.
I’ve commented this on other reactions, but the song “Which Side Are You On” is an absolutely essential reminder of the Harlan War, a period of US history in which the brutal robber-barons controlling the coal industry waged class warfare against striking coal miners in the mountains of Kentucky. It’s a historical moment we should know about now more than ever, with mine-owners using private and public police forces to suppress a labor movement that fought for a life-or-death cause. The song was written by the wife of a union organizer after their family home was broken into by the sheriff in an attempt to scare them into leaving the movement. She wrote it on the back of a calendar, and “Which Side Are You On” came to be one of the most essential folk songs of the American canon, covered by many of the greats. If you’re reading this comment and don’t know about the Harlan War, look it up. Every American should know about it.
I'm actually not sure if it's 100% illegal. The traditional method of killing it (force feeding and drowning) definitely is, but I think eating it might be legal. If the bird is caught in a non-EU country and has appropriate export forms from that country, I believe it's legal to import it to the US. (It's illegal to catch in the EU so Lacey Act makes it illegal to import.) Then Orlotan Buntings aren't actually listed under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, so it seems it's legal to kill them in the US. So, unless someone more knowledgable wants to correct me, I think it's legal to eat so long as it's caught in a non-EU country and is killed humanely.

Since Brian Cox is in Succession, you should watch Super Troopers. Edit: writing and direction just showcases how you can have "action" without it being very physical or explosive (literally). Sh*ts compelling
Yeah, Kendall screwed up. He would've won the vote if he was in the room and didn't overplay his hand; telling Ewan about the vote and phoning Illiana are what screwed him in the end. If he was in the room, Stewie and Laurence would've been confident enough to vote with him and even Roman may have been swayed back. Unfortunately Logan was the only commanding influence there.
It has come to my attention that yes...that's how you eat Ortolan. Wild. Better Call Saul & Mr. ROBOT & Succession on Patreon! Click here: www.patreon.com/jamesvscinema Much love!
Deep fried Ortolan is a real French delicacy but its preparation is considered inhumane in the US. The birds are fed til they are way overweight and then drowned alive in Armagnac (an alcohol) before they are deep fried.

The Class War never ends

It's awesome James got outraged over someone making fun of Tom 🤣
You eat ortolan with the cloth over your head to hide of shame of the act. No joke
Still one of my favourite episodes in the whole series
Sadly, eating ortolan like that is not a joke. That's how it's eaten. Learned that from the Hannibal show
Why "sadly"?

This show is basically about who can be the most untrustworthy person possible 🤣
Man I wonder if Brian Cox ever did a stage performance of ," A Lion In Winter" ? He'd have been amazing!
Tom and Greg are my favorites too 😂

This was the episode that completely hooked me.
