Great roads, taller buildings, overbridges,lovely shopping arcades and a little nightlife....what more can you ask for?Today's Thimphu is a far cry from the Thimphu l used to live in ,three decades ago...and pleasantly so.Things inevitably change ....sigh feeling nostalgic

There was this Hungarian journalist and his film crew who went to Bhutan in 2007 and made a one-part documentary about the country.
The TV programme was called "Frei Dosszie - Bhutan - The Lost Kingdom".
The programme also features interviews with some local farmers and monks, and other interesting people. It's on youtube if you want to watch it, unfortunately there is no english subtitle
