    They have not said whether the remains were male or female. Usually they can initially tell at least that. I wonder why they are silent on it.

    I imagine a gator got him shortly after he took his final photo of the bridge and drainage canal he was standing next to. He was pulled into the stormwater system that leads to the lift station.

      Life isn't like police TV shows. DNA analysis takes weeks, and with the body being in waste water it'll take a while to get anything from it presumably. Plus we don't know if the head is attached or not, so they can't just look at it and match it with anyone.
