I used to be an insurance agent and own a VUL policy as well. After several years of paying my premium, I realized it's not really generating any income. Better to get a term insurance instead. Maraming salamat po, Sir Vince! Since I stumbled upon your videos the other day, you have given me a clear path to properly planning my family's future. Kahit gaano kahaba or ka-ikli ng videos mo, sulit na sulit po ang oras na ginugugol ko in watching them, learning and making notes. Lahat po ng kaalaman na naibahagi po ninyo, unti-unti ko rin pong ibinabahagi sa aking anak na ngayon ay 10 years old pa lang. I want him to learn, appreciate and understand the importance of saving, and having a clear financial goal at his young age, kasi when I was younger these are things I took for granted, and just went on day by day without a clear goal in life. It's something I didn't learn from school, and some things I didn't learn from my parents tulad na lang ng investing, and getting adequate protection / insurance.
I'm turning 40 this year, and just starting out to plan my life and properly manage my finances; I know mejo late, but it's better than not starting at all. I'm also thankful din po that I have a partner who shares the same family and financial goals as I do, so it has inspired me more to be better, to learn more, to earn more smartly, rather than sticking to the primitive mentality of having just one source of income being enough. The things I've learned sa mga videos po ninyo I wished I've learned earlier on in life. Mahaba pa ang oras bago mag-65 (hehehe), and in turn I can impart these learnings to my son para he'll be more than equipped and prepared by the time he reaches my age. Sana po ay hindi po kayo magsawa na ibahagi sa amin ang iyong kaalaman ang mga gintong payo. 🥰

Sir Vince, 33yrs old po ako. i have my investments (stocks, cafe business) and emergency savings in placed pero wala po akong napundar na house nor car not even insurance (mahirap magcommit kasi inconsistent pa yung business income ko pero my plans na ko to do BTID). Gusto ko po kasi madali maliquidate yung assets ko. Dapat po ba sa age ko magimpok na ko ng properties, akala ng parents ko wala akong napundar eh...Haha pero honestly, if I compute our net, sila my loans ako lang wala. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Hindi naman kailangan ng life insurance habang buhay. Kapag may dependents lang. Di yan tinuturo ng mga insurance conpanies. In most cases, pag dating talaga ng 60 years old, di na kailangan ng insurance kasi wala nang dependents. Yes, nagmamahal ang term insurance. Pero sa simula nito na 2,000 per year for 1M coverage for example at mag-increase ng 5% per year, kung susumahin mo ito at kukunin ang present value, di hamak na mas mura pa din ang term kaysa VUL po.
