      I like the plans but you forgot dimensions on the Middle and Bottom self

      @@vernonsharp8799 just checked the plans and all the shelves are there, the horizontal boards are the same as on top shelf so I just indicated how mamy you needed, sorry I thought that was clear enough. Just some them equally and that's it.

      @@CasualDIYyea I realized that they were the same after staring at the completed picture. Thanks

    Hi, I love this design. I'm going to make a version out of cedar for outside. One piece of advice when using a stop block at the miter saw: hold the material on the stop block side and let the "drop" side go. With the stop you create a risk of material getting jammed up between the blade and the block.

    That looks really useful. I think I know at least one person who would want me to make one.

    Nice project mate...
    Spring is upon us and gardens are now the priority after the winter of neglect 👍
    My only criticism would be to either stagger the screws so not inline and prevent splitting out on the end grain or dowel both ends, glue up and pin.
    Keep up the good work and stay safe mate..

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  2 года назад

      Yes I was thinking about dowels to be honest but I need it quickly and I wanted this project to be as simple as possible so that people with an electric drill and a handsaw could tackle it from wood you can buy in big diy stores

      @@CasualDIY I can understand what you are saying mate... A drill size for holes and small square block for straight drilling is also as effective as a dowel jointer. Whilst screws are simple and as affective, dowels are a lot cleaner as they say.
      Great effort and I am sure plenty will relish the plans 👍👍👍

    Hi there, great little project, would be interesting if you compared timber prices between Poland and the UK, since you left the UK timber prices here have gone through the roof!

    • @CasualDIY

      Thanks,
      The prices of timber here in Poland also went through the roof. I had a look some time ago and the prices were comparable to UK prices which means the timber is more expensive in Poland as people earn lot less. So yes its madness. Hence most of my wood or sheet material related projects are on hold. As I can't afford to buy anything right now lol So I'm trying to use what I got.

    .I'm in the US and see that the legs are 1" x 2"s (20mm x 38mm} but can't find a size that corresponds to 2 cm x 3 cm used for the rest of the pieces. Did you get 1 x 2s and cut them down to 3 cm wide? This is a great-looking project and I'd like to make a few. Thank you for showing how it's done.

      Trim the boards to correct sizes.

    Great project. Thanks for sharing the video. Where did you buy the plastic square (at 2:44)? I made some of old kitchen cabinet doors but they're bulky and heavy. Plastic ones would be a good replacement (or extra)

    Hi there, please could I ask what was the name of the bolt and nut that you used that allows the shelf to flip / rotate up and down?

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  3 месяца назад

      Any bolt will do, you need a washer in-between an a wing nut.

    Nice but doesn’t fold up very well, would be nice if it folded flat don’t you think.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  2 года назад +1

      It would be even better if it folded in half as well. But I don't think it would look as nice. For me it's perfect and when folded it fits perfectly into storage space I got for it👍
