Hi! I'm using mallets from the Zivkovic line by Innovative Percussion that I have rewrapped with 100% polyamide yarn. I'm very picky about mallets so I find that making my own gives me the control over the sound that I'm looking for. Also, it's very important to me to use mallets that make the most sound out of my DeMorrow marimba. There is a huge difference between the DeMorrow and other marimbas on the market and the right mallets are necessary to allow the marimba to sing to its full capacity. The Zivkovic mallets are a nice weight for my hands and for the marimba but my yarn eliminates any contact sound and gives a more full, round sound to the mallets. Hope you enjoy the piece! Read more
So glad you're still at it!
hello Larissa, what kind of mallet do you use for your marimba pieces?
