Actually many European pagans have that holiday. They have just not preserved that tradition. In slavic countries they celebrated the day of Veles and it had almost the same meaning and was celebrated at the same day.
@Anarcho Christian I can't answer for Pastel, but as a pagan myself, I will personally be lighting a candle in the window for the Aos Si and wandering spirits, making some pastry offerings, and feasting! I may video chat some friends as well (one would normally host or attend a great feast in person but what with the dreaded plague, it is best to stick indoors). Lastly, I will be tending my hearth fire servitors, and drinking a brew of mugwort tea before bed to make the most of the thin veil for some interesting dreams. There are pagans all over the world who celebrate Samhain, not just Ireland (though I myself am English, currently based in Wales).
Yes! Not a lot of the Irish who practice it are Pagan, those are Irish who just still connect to their indigenous roots despite the religion they identify with. I’m apart of a family that has practiced it for a long time and are still Pagan.

The West. I've forgotten most of my Celtic mythology, but it's because it's a Solar based religion and the sun-set is in the West,yes? I just wanted to know and share, because what I've studied most recently, the Hermetic art,and the (practical) Kabbalah, the quarter that rules Death is the North, because of its attribution to the Element of Earth, and hence all that is material and passes. All that aside, I fell in love with Celtic Mythology and Druidism (as much as someone that grew up in the 90's North American New Age "Fad" could have) first, and I must say, what a beautiful Ceremony.
Beautiful ceremony. This year's Samhain will seem especially heavy given how things are globally in autumn of 2020, and it will be a long time before gatherings like this can be held again. But the season and holiday will still come upon us, as they always do, and may it be filled with the warmth of remembrance, good food and drink, and the presence of loved ones from both sides of the veil. I was listening to Nordic meditation music this week for the first time and I felt a huge amount of safety and strength coming to me and protection and I noticed the Nordic music was in the list of Halloween dark music. So I'm curious to know is the Nordic music, music of light and protection and strength?
I felt like the Nordic music was very heavenly and peaceful and like angels of light singing. I felt like an extra protection from the dark forces. I'm very sensitive to energies and very empathic. So I'm curious to learn about possible Celtic culture that teaches ways to sheild ourselves from the dark forces?
Not sure if that is realted to the traditions of Samhain per se. Nordic/Germanic pre-Christian beliefs are great. A lot of reverance to nature occurs and divination practices which are both common with Celtic and Nordic spiritualities. Good luck on your journey forward.

I'm Turkish but I have been quite drawn into celtic paganism for a long time I really feel like I belong there and that I could even be a druidess in one of my previous lives I even have a celtic knot tattoo you see it's really important to me I really want to visit the Wales and Ireland and meet real life Celts and join one of the sacred rituals (especially Beltane or Samhain) but I'm worried that I won't be accepted because of my nation since I'm not Gaelic, I was born and raised in a Muslim family (btw I don't describe myself as Celtic, I can say that I'm a spiritual satanist but I don't like labeling myself, thus I define myself as a pagan overall)
Trust me that absolutely wouldn't happen everybody would be delighted!!! Ireland is still very new to having people coming in and still very happy to see different people and especially if they are interested in the *real* Ireland. I know you can't right now but when this madness is all over please come!

I felt like the Nordic music was very heavenly and peaceful and like angels of light singing. I felt like an extra protection from the dark forces. I'm very sensitive to energies and very empathic. So I'm curious to learn about possible Celtic culture that teaches ways to sheild ourselves from the dark forces?

Not sure if that is realted to the traditions of Samhain per se. Nordic/Germanic pre-Christian beliefs are great. A lot of reverance to nature occurs and divination practices which are both common with Celtic and Nordic spiritualities. Good luck on your journey forward.

This was on Halloween night itself and was called Samhain Procession or something similar. They haven't added that event onto the schedule this year, but keep an eye out, maybe it will be added.@@rowshambow

I'm Turkish but I have been quite drawn into celtic paganism for a long time I really feel like I belong there and that I could even be a druidess in one of my previous lives I even have a celtic knot tattoo you see it's really important to me I really want to visit the Wales and Ireland and meet real life Celts and join one of the sacred rituals (especially Beltane or Samhain) but I'm worried that I won't be accepted because of my nation since I'm not Gaelic, I was born and raised in a Muslim family (btw I don't describe myself as Celtic, I can say that I'm a spiritual satanist but I don't like labeling myself, thus I define myself as a pagan overall)
Trust me that absolutely wouldn't happen everybody would be delighted!!! Ireland is still very new to having people coming in and still very happy to see different people and especially if they are interested in the *real* Ireland. I know you can't right now but when this madness is all over please come!

We used to sing "It's a Fire, a Fucking Fire, it's a Big Ass Fire"! I've never refered to myself as a Pagan, I AM a WITCH! We used to hold our rituals open to the public (for education).
