SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM (PIN THIS) so basically the RBI guidelines that you are talking about are nothing new, these policies were introduced in 2021 and since a distrokid subscription lasts for a year, the last time u would've renewed or bought ur subscription the policy would've likely existed. Now for the solution to the problem, due to the change on the RBI Policy u now need to go to ur mail the one which u use to sign to distrokid, and check ur inbox or spam folders you would receive a mail by 'stripe' which I believe is distrokids thrid party payment portal and APPROVE your payment after which you would get an OTP which u need to input to get the transaction done. I just renewed my subscription today so I got to know this I was also facing the same issue for the past week. Something unusual i noticed was that when i bought distrokid i had signed up with a different email but last year I changed my email. But the approve mail by distrokids third party payment portal was sent to the mail which I had used to initially join distrokid so if u've changed ur email u may wanna check ur old emails too. Hey Ash thanks for adding this solution here in the comment section. I have pin this so people can try this solution method as well. However in my case I did not receive any email either in inbox or spam which would get me a link to get the OTP for payment approval. But since if this worked out for you this might work out for many others as well.
I did it, and renewed my membership, but now onwards receiving no mail from strip tried more than 30 cards, all get rejected. Trying to pay for "Extras ( RUclips content ID, discovery pack ) But receiving no mal from stripe, now I paid 5 artist membership fees but unable to upload songs. But i think there is one thing that we all must do is to send them emails at least one or two to describe the issue . Facing the same issue since this RBI regulations came up! from the last few months I started getting the STRIPE emails. But lately the STRIPE emails have stopped again and now my new release is stuck!
I know brother had that same issue around April 2023. I tried a lot of things for next couple of months until I made this video but Distrokid does not seem to be working towards solution of this problem. Had to change my Distributor.
Yes , i think person might need to login from US itself, since a lot of international payments have the regional barrier as well. Although I do not recommend using someone else's card. But you can give it a try if you like. I got this solution through few people in the reddit feeds that's why it's subjective might or might not work. So you can may be try to login your Distrokid using VPN server if you have it or ask your friend to login from US to give it a shot (which is not a very safe thing to do). But all upto you.
@@JayMalik it's good so far.. I had my releases on time. I have'nt got any chace to withdraw my earning or anything since i just recently joined. But in terms of services Tunecore is delivering fine. It's Just a little more expensive than Distrokid and if you want a Custom label name, The plan cost around 4k an year so make sure you plan out your budget before you get in. There are also other Distrutors to look into like Amuse or song tradr.

Actually, most of the people start facing this issue once they are trying to release a new soundtrack. Because everytime you try to release new tracks Distrokid charges 1 dollar to check if they can charge you automatically which is also later on credited back. However since Distrokid is not following the e-mandate format of auto debiting amount from your card as per new RBI guidelines the payment gets declined everytime. It is frustrating but the truth is Distrokid is unable to accept anymore payments from India. Some folk who commented on my channel said that they were able to make their payment through an ICICI international payments enabled credit card but this did not worked out for me and many others. If you have one you can give it a try. Otherwise only option to keep your a music online is to switch to another distribution service like Tunecore, amuse, beleive, Landr etc.

You can shift your soundtracks from one distributor to other, but please be very careful with the below steps as it's a bit tedious process :- 1. Use the exact ISRC and UPC code for your soundtrack by which it was already released. Also the release date should be the same to original release date. 2. Make sure that name of the soundtrack is exactly the same "case sensitively" it should absolutely match with the existing release when you are shifting the release to other distributor. Capital letter should be in Capital small should be in small (perfect match) 3. Audio file should be the exact same file which was Uploaded before when it was originally released. (It is very important for Music producer to keep the original copy of their soundtrack with them.) 4. Make sure the preferences of the soundtrack are not changed for example (if you did not purchased RUclips contant ID for a soundtrack before you should still stick with it because release setting should remain same.) 5. If you had a custom Label name in your previous release and make sure your current package in Tunecore allow you to give it the same Custom label name that you used before with original release. If previous release did not have a custom label name then this point can be ignored. 6. Make sure the major stores remain the same like if the soundtrack was on Spotify and youtube which shifting make sure you cover these stores again. 7. Make sure your release is properly linked with your existing artist account on various stores because you want those tracks to appear under your Artist name. 8. Once they start to release from new distributor they will reflect duplicated on your profile for a week or so , when that happens you can remove the soundtracks from your previous distribution service if you decide not to use the previous distributor for that soundtrack. Store very strictly view these guidelines if we make a mistake, it will either replicate the release or wont release. It is a tedious process but if you fill everything right you should be good.

@@HarshThakur-ln9er if everything is good stats should not be disturbed however for me personally when I did this for 7 soundtracks it worked out for 4 of them not all soundtracks. Also there are lot of tutorials on moving soundtrack from one distribution service to another without losing streamcounts you can also refer to those. I can recommend a channel called "Sultan nation" for that if you want to check it out.
No brother ... I have tried that many times with multiple cards. Issue is not the international payments..issue is due to change in reoccurring payments policy of India. Sare merchants ko follow krna hota hai ek e-mandate format jo maine video mein bhi bataya. Distrokid e-mandate format follow nhi krta isliye sabke payments second time se fail hona start ho jate hai .. first payment ho jayega but next payment will fail.
@@rachitsaraswat6726 FIrst time is like a normal payment where you just make a payment ..enter an OTP and transaction successful.. Next what happens is the system tries to auto debit amount from your account which will fail since Distrokid does not support the e-mandate format. You won't be able to pay Distrokid. I tried reaching out to them multiple times but i did not found a solution to this yet. Best solution is to switch to another Distribution service like i switched to Tunecore.
I purchased an annual subscription a month ago. and I uploaded my release.. Now i'm waiting for it to go live. However, I've been getting this error now while it's yet to go live.. My question is, will the song go live (because the annual subscription is still there for 11 more months before expiring) or will the song not go live till we fix this issue? Any advise would be appreciated :)
I released my soundtracks through DistroKid in December 2022 as my first release which went fine for me i released 7 soundtrack album, then after few months in May 2023 I tried releasing a new single through DistroKid along with the release i selected some extras like RUclips content ID for the new release. Eversince I did that my payment system started showing me the error that my card is declining and my Soundtrack never got released even passsing release date to 30 more days. If you're scenario is somewhat similar it's most likely the payment issue for which Distrokid has no solution yet. But if you don't receive any payment related error you should try reaching out to DistroKid at support@distrokid.com And check why your release is stuck for so long. They should get back to you with the exact reason for delay.

Maine bohot videos dekhe hai jismein logo ke gaane tunecore pe block ho rahe hai aur release hi nahi hore. Isliye ab tunecore se bharosa gaya. Aap ka kaisa experience hai tunecore pe. @@akshay.1996 mera first choice Distrokid hi tha.. but unfortunately Distrokid ne apni side se koi bhi changes krne k liye mujhe mana kr diya. So had to switch on Tunecore so far my releases have been successfully processed..I also have a new release lined up at next weekend I will let you know agar mai us release se related koi problem face kta hn to. For now tunecore is working fine. Agar Distrokid future mein koi update krta h aur mujhe pata chalta hai to mai bilkul share karunga.

@@akshay.1996 it's just been 1 month brother I was with Distrokid from past 2 years I just switches in June since i could not get my membership renewed from Distrokid. Other distribution services have so many bad reviews i could find Tunecore as best option after Distrokid. Will keep things posted.
Hi, actually Apko release krne se pehle apne artist profile ko verify Krna chahiye tha Tunecore k through , upload krte time option ata h search krne ka. Sometimes same ya similar name ke artists hone ki wajah se dusre ki profile mein na chale jaye isliye hamesha apna profile link Krna important hai. Filhal apko uploaded soundtrack delete Krna chahiye and next upload k time apni profile link krke hi upload kijiyega aap. Usse apka issue solve ho jana chahiye.

If you just renewed the subscription aap refund maang skte hain but emails pe consistently unko bolte rahe. Agar membership renew hone k 4 5 mahine ho gye to shayad na mile apko refund. But always give it a try.

AP kuch chize apne end pe check kr skte ho like :- Audio quality (Audio formats) should be as per standards Apka song ka cover art 4k square resolution ka hona chahiye. In case cover song hai to apne usme cover song ka lisence add Kiya. Baki lyrics add kiye ho to usme koi bhi mistake agar ki ho. Ye kuch common mistakes hai. Baki maine abhi tak Jitne soundtracks post kiye to mere sare soundtrack approve hue Hain abhi tak.

Hi Tanmay, I read your comment and i understand the issue. But to be honest something Distrokid and Tunecore both act weirdly when it comes to licensing. They use bots to keep track and check off all the audio stuff which are often inaccurate which is a bitter truth about the online distribution services, however if you think you are constantly getting same issue with particular Distribution service only option is to switch to other service. Apart from Distrokid and Tunecore you can check out Amuse. A lot of my fellow artists are using it and they did not had any similar issues.

I started using Tunecore since aug 2023 ..so far all good with respect to releases..but it is a little more expensive than Distrokid. Also if you are looking to get a RUclips official artist channel currently that service is on hold since they are in the middle of making a dedicated web page to host that service. So make sure to research all of these topics before you choose your distribution service. For my needs tunecore serves well so I chose Tunecore.

Distrokid ne kafi smartly apna system design kiya hai jo hamein hamare banking details delete krne nhi deta hai kyonki remove bank details ka koi option nhi hai. Iska ek hi solution hai ki apka Distrokid account delete kr diya jaye jo apko setting mein option mil jayega. Maine personally to even stay on the safe side meri Bank account details update ki us account se before leaving jisme koi funds maujood nhi hai and uske baad apna account delete krdiya so distrokid mujhse charge nhi kr skti. technically account delete hone k baad Distrokid liable nhi hai apko charge krne k liye. But maine bhi kuch users se suna hai ki unke funds deduct hue hain shayad even after deleting the account. i personally did not experienced that. but maine apko ek rasta bata diya hai. Hope that helps.
apko distrokid support pe issue address krna chahiye. Agar apki fees submit hui hai to apka account work krna chahiye atleast. But anyway pehle isko unke support email pe likh k address kijiye.

@@michaelshergill7459i know eventually you won't be able to process the payment. One of my viewer was even able to pay the membership payment but he was not able to get his releases out. So I have much lesser confidence on Distrokid these days. I have switched to Tunecore instead for now.

Yes, I agree. I wish Distrokid could do something about it. If they would just add an alternative payment option and improve their customer support they are the best Distributors. But their support looks like operated by bots that mostly send prewritten messages mostly it really creates inconvenience . Currently i don't really see my payments getting through because Distrokid does not follow the e-mandate format.

Hmm mere international credit cards ka bhi international payment enable hai but payment process nhi ho rhi. So it's the same with me here. I am with Tunecore now and it's been going fine for me for now.
Oh .. well I am not sure about Nepal but I will suggest that you check out your reserve Bank guidelines. Perhaps something changed or may be check if your card has international payments enabled as well.

If you are using for example piano house soundtrack or may be Indian type beats as your soundtrack name also if you're artist name is too generic like "beatmaker" or "storyteller" it is highly probable that this name is already taken and stores might reject this due to it generic nature. Yahi chiz apke sath ho rhi hai jahan tak mai samajhrha hn. So you will have to work on it .. If this is your first release create a unique artist name and give an unique release name as well. ✌️

But i think there is one thing that we all must do is to send them emails at least one or two to describe the issue . Distrokid really need to know that this issue is impacting a big number of people.

Facing the same issue since this RBI regulations came up! from the last few months I started getting the STRIPE emails. But lately the STRIPE emails have stopped again and now my new release is stuck!
I know brother had that same issue around April 2023. I tried a lot of things for next couple of months until I made this video but Distrokid does not seem to be working towards solution of this problem. Had to change my Distributor.

Yes , i think person might need to login from US itself, since a lot of international payments have the regional barrier as well. Although I do not recommend using someone else's card. But you can give it a try if you like. I got this solution through few people in the reddit feeds that's why it's subjective might or might not work.
So you can may be try to login your Distrokid using VPN server if you have it or ask your friend to login from US to give it a shot (which is not a very safe thing to do). But all upto you.

@@JayMalik it's good so far.. I had my releases on time. I have'nt got any chace to withdraw my earning or anything since i just recently joined. But in terms of services Tunecore is delivering fine. It's Just a little more expensive than Distrokid and if you want a Custom label name, The plan cost around 4k an year so make sure you plan out your budget before you get in. There are also other Distrutors to look into like Amuse or song tradr.

Actually, most of the people start facing this issue once they are trying to release a new soundtrack. Because everytime you try to release new tracks Distrokid charges 1 dollar to check if they can charge you automatically which is also later on credited back.
However since Distrokid is not following the e-mandate format of auto debiting amount from your card as per new RBI guidelines the payment gets declined everytime. It is frustrating but the truth is Distrokid is unable to accept anymore payments from India. Some folk who commented on my channel said that they were able to make their payment through an ICICI international payments enabled credit card but this did not worked out for me and many others. If you have one you can give it a try.
Otherwise only option to keep your a music online is to switch to another distribution service like Tunecore, amuse, beleive, Landr etc.

You can shift your soundtracks from one distributor to other, but please be very careful with the below steps as it's a bit tedious process :-
1. Use the exact ISRC and UPC code for your soundtrack by which it was already released. Also the release date should be the same to original release date.
2. Make sure that name of the soundtrack is exactly the same "case sensitively" it should absolutely match with the existing release when you are shifting the release to other distributor. Capital letter should be in Capital small should be in small (perfect match)
3. Audio file should be the exact same file which was Uploaded before when it was originally released. (It is very important for Music producer to keep the original copy of their soundtrack with them.)
4. Make sure the preferences of the soundtrack are not changed for example (if you did not purchased RUclips contant ID for a soundtrack before you should still stick with it because release setting should remain same.)
5. If you had a custom Label name in your previous release and make sure your current package in Tunecore allow you to give it the same Custom label name that you used before with original release. If previous release did not have a custom label name then this point can be ignored.
6. Make sure the major stores remain the same like if the soundtrack was on Spotify and youtube which shifting make sure you cover these stores again.
7. Make sure your release is properly linked with your existing artist account on various stores because you want those tracks to appear under your Artist name.
8. Once they start to release from new distributor they will reflect duplicated on your profile for a week or so , when that happens you can remove the soundtracks from your previous distribution service if you decide not to use the previous distributor for that soundtrack.
Store very strictly view these guidelines if we make a mistake, it will either replicate the release or wont release. It is a tedious process but if you fill everything right you should be good.

@@HarshThakur-ln9er if everything is good stats should not be disturbed however for me personally when I did this for 7 soundtracks it worked out for 4 of them not all soundtracks. Also there are lot of tutorials on moving soundtrack from one distribution service to another without losing streamcounts you can also refer to those.

No brother ... I have tried that many times with multiple cards. Issue is not the international payments..issue is due to change in reoccurring payments policy of India. Sare merchants ko follow krna hota hai ek e-mandate format jo maine video mein bhi bataya. Distrokid e-mandate format follow nhi krta isliye sabke payments second time se fail hona start ho jate hai .. first payment ho jayega but next payment will fail.

Next what happens is the system tries to auto debit amount from your account which will fail since Distrokid does not support the e-mandate format. You won't be able to pay Distrokid. I tried reaching out to them multiple times but i did not found a solution to this yet. Best solution is to switch to another Distribution service like i switched to Tunecore.
I purchased an annual subscription a month ago. and I uploaded my release.. Now i'm waiting for it to go live. However, I've been getting this error now while it's yet to go live.. My question is, will the song go live (because the annual subscription is still there for 11 more months before expiring) or will the song not go live till we fix this issue? Any advise would be appreciated :)
I released my soundtracks through DistroKid in December 2022 as my first release which went fine for me i released 7 soundtrack album, then after few months in May 2023 I tried releasing a new single through DistroKid along with the release i selected some extras like RUclips content ID for the new release. Eversince I did that my payment system started showing me the error that my card is declining and my Soundtrack never got released even passsing release date to 30 more days. If you're scenario is somewhat similar it's most likely the payment issue for which Distrokid has no solution yet. But if you don't receive any payment related error you should try reaching out to DistroKid at support@distrokid.com
And check why your release is stuck for so long. They should get back to you with the exact reason for delay.

Hi, actually Apko release krne se pehle apne artist profile ko verify Krna chahiye tha Tunecore k through , upload krte time option ata h search krne ka. Sometimes same ya similar name ke artists hone ki wajah se dusre ki profile mein na chale jaye isliye hamesha apna profile link Krna important hai.
Filhal apko uploaded soundtrack delete Krna chahiye and next upload k time apni profile link krke hi upload kijiyega aap. Usse apka issue solve ho jana chahiye.

If you just renewed the subscription aap refund maang skte hain but emails pe consistently unko bolte rahe. Agar membership renew hone k 4 5 mahine ho gye to shayad na mile apko refund. But always give it a try.

Hi Tanmay, I read your comment and i understand the issue. But to be honest something Distrokid and Tunecore both act weirdly when it comes to licensing. They use bots to keep track and check off all the audio stuff which are often inaccurate which is a bitter truth about the online distribution services, however if you think you are constantly getting same issue with particular Distribution service only option is to switch to other service. Apart from Distrokid and Tunecore you can check out Amuse. A lot of my fellow artists are using it and they did not had any similar issues.

Bro, is Tunecore a good distribution service?
I started using Tunecore since aug 2023 ..so far all good with respect to releases..but it is a little more expensive than Distrokid. Also if you are looking to get a RUclips official artist channel currently that service is on hold since they are in the middle of making a dedicated web page to host that service. So make sure to research all of these topics before you choose your distribution service. For my needs tunecore serves well so I chose Tunecore.

Distrokid ne kafi smartly apna system design kiya hai jo hamein hamare banking details delete krne nhi deta hai kyonki remove bank details ka koi option nhi hai. Iska ek hi solution hai ki apka Distrokid account delete kr diya jaye jo apko setting mein option mil jayega.
Maine personally to even stay on the safe side meri Bank account details update ki us account se before leaving jisme koi funds maujood nhi hai and uske baad apna account delete krdiya so distrokid mujhse charge nhi kr skti.
technically account delete hone k baad Distrokid liable nhi hai apko charge krne k liye. But maine bhi kuch users se suna hai ki unke funds deduct hue hain shayad even after deleting the account.
i personally did not experienced that.

Brother at this moment there is no actual way that I could find jisse aap payment kr paogey Distrokid ko. And agar first time payment ho bhi gyi to there is no guarantee you will be able to make releases because vo ek one dollar ki fees charge krte hai wapas check krne k liye ki auto-pay ho skta h ki nhi . New RBI guidelines k baad se ye Distrokid ki side se possible nhi h because Distrokid RBI recommended e-mandate format follow nhi krta.
I suggest you look for a better distribution service jo AP long term use kr sko .. i switched to Tunecore but you can browse other services as per your budget and need.

@@officialHrFacts bro apko apka Artist name and apka release name Distribution services k liye unique rakhna padega ... If you are using for example piano house soundtrack or may be Indian type beats as your soundtrack name also if you're artist name is too generic like "beatmaker" or "storyteller" it is highly probable that this name is already taken and stores might reject this due to it generic nature. Yahi chiz apke sath ho rhi hai jahan tak mai samajhrha hn. So you will have to work on it ..
If this is your first release create a unique artist name and give an unique release name as well. ✌️
