Mr. Zia Mohyeddin is a legend of TV and theatre. He made me speak and listen to Urdu the way it is supposed to be. I listen to his narration frequently. He is a gem of a person. I wish him long life. Great interview
The man is 91 and still working. A living avatar of O.G Pakistani Cinema/TV/Theater.
Ironic that Pakistani Government has not yet awarded him with highest national merit award Nishan-e-Pakistan.

He is such a natural and down-to-earth person. He talks truly that nowadays vulgarity, sexuality and intimacy are what sparks any movie rather than the quality of dialogue, acting and plot.
But in modern times our people try to portray display of sexuality, vulgarity as some of sort of brilliant sophistication thing. Society is going backwards intellectually if we think about it, our people should make their own place in the world instead of following the world and promoting nudity as some aspect of liberalism etc.

Art comes from heart. Natives of the subcontinent treated art as divine activity an offering to the divine. That's why Art was invented, promoted and funded by temples, Gurukuls and DharmVihar. Desert highway bandit gangs came for looting these temples and the natives who contributed to their construction.
