Yohohhohoho indeed a great Irish gorup but, are all their members alive? This be from 1976. Besides, plz plz don't be drinking alcoholic beverages sir it is haram in Islam. If Islamic rules were applied in society, we wouldn'tface half the problems that we do today, as humanity..
As I gaed doun the Overgate I met me a bonnie wee lass. And she winked at me wi' the tail of her e'e as I went rovin' past. Wi' my roving eye, fol-a doo-a-di, rovin' eye di-dumderry, my rovin' eye. She asked me for tae gaeng with her, I said yeah I’ll be gaed. But I'm just off Auchtermuchty tae the market with some swine. She took me tae a sitting room, a wee bit doon the burn. Ay, it's true what Robbie Burns said: “A man was made to mourn.” Then we baith went up the stairs to hae a wee bit drink When there cam a knock upon the door, man i’d scarcely time to think Then in cam twa policemen an they taen me be the hair, And he gied me the whirimagig right doon to the foot of the stair. All that nicht I dreamt I was lyin' in the airms o' Jemima Rose; But when I woke up I was lyin' on my back at the fit o' the Beefcan Close. Come a' ye jolly plooman lads that gang oot for a lark; Now keep your money in your inside pooch and waff it tae the tail o' your sark.
@@noahkelly3212 I apologize for my ignorance! I first heard this song on a "Scottish music" compilation video really liked it and looked it up afterwards without doing anymore research. After reading the description I see that it is indeed Irish. Which makes sense as i've always had a soft spot for Irish music, if I only knew what they were saying! What brings you here Noah?
@@leila4509 It is scottish hence the band name "Alba" they just took inspiration from irish folk bands which isn't too uncommon for gaelic folk bands to do. all the band members came from scottish bands and this song is also of scottish origin.
@@KairosUnofficial well, there was no irish music til the late 50s early 60s when the clancies etc appeared and copied the scottish . the irish bands still sing many scottish songs.
Alba should definitely make a comeback. I’ve listened to this album too many times with too many bottles of highland scotch to count.

@@Dave.Mustaine.Is.Genius If you’re Islamic then why are you listening to a song about a man being an adulterer? Surely that’s wrong, right?
You have no idea how long I have been looking for this version of this song
Indeed how long?
I know, love this version
10 years
I have been looking this version of the song along with Van Dieman's Land and Captain Ward for AGES
