I hope the Ukrainian pagan tradition grows and thrives. I also hope it develops across a much broader cross section of society than in the UK. Hippies seem to have an almost complete monopoly on how UK Paganism is practised. I hope the Ukrainian traditions don't become so distorted by 1960's rock n roll counter culture that has nothing to do with paganism. Check out the Aratta civilisation, some very exciting discoveries are coming out of the Ukraine at the moment.
This are mostly rodnovery interpretations (What is rodnovery: goo.gl/UxpaGd ) which are mostly romantic and not correct sometime. Main deities of Slavic mythologhy were Perun, Veles and Mokosh. This present main Slavic myth (More info here: goo.gl/D76tlk). not many source for Slavic pre-christian beliefs so we are not sure if Rod, Svarog and such deities exist or what was their meaning. Same is for Slavic runes. Slavs could had runes but there is no documented pre-slavic writting system. It is also possibility that East Slavs use Nordic runes because Vikings(Variags) had some influence on Slavic people because they, between the 9th and 11th centuries, ruled the medieval state of Kievan Rus' (Today Russia and Ukraine). But this runes are still modern interpretations of rodnovers. Top of the mountain was probably dedicated Perun and somewhere under hill to Veles (or Chernobog you mentioned). Letter when christianity took over such places where replaced by christian worshipping or demonized by church. So Lysa hora become like strange and supernatural place for people. Top of mountains or hills where places for gatherings of witches, what is also described here: goo.gl/MTT7Pg. Such spooky stories "who built it" is next stage of such stories. Have a nice travel!
