    For anyone feeling lost or discouraged it took me 960 hours over 2.5 years to pass the math portion of the test and 6 attempts with a 144 5 times and 132 1 time . Remember there’s so much to retain it’s not an easy task to complete I had a 3rd grade math level on day one and after 1 year I was about 68% efficiency in high school math my final score was 193 and my math level is college ready now just don’t give up folks

    There is NO need for you to EVER apologize for taking up our time! :) I cannot tell you how much I enjoy learning from your videos. I have been watching a few different channels, getting ready for the different GED exams, and YOURS by far have been the most helpful. I like how you repeat things, how you break things down, and that you write or scribble onto the slides to explain or emphasize things. Love the little side notes with your cat or wife too, it's nice to see you are a real human! lol All kidding aside, so far, I've passed the Science, Social and Reading exams. I have Math next week and am VERY nervous about that one. Taking the GED so that I can apply at college has been very humbling! (I graduated in Canada 30 years ago, but needed the GED for American college reasons.) Anyways, thank you so much for making these awesome videos!

It’s so frustrating to think you know the problem and know how to solve it and still get it wrong.

    For the titanic question... if the movie lasted 195 minutes long and she watched 35% of it, and we are trying to figure out how many minutes are left over, wouldn't she have 65% of the movie left over? So the math should've been x/195 = 65/100? In other words, 65% of 195 minutes. So she should have 126.75 minutes remaining to finish the movie.

    • @TestPrepChampions
      @TestPrepChampions  Год назад +2

      Hi, thank you for watching and for your question! Here, we have -5b, and we just want to get b by itself. If we divide by -5, it leaves us with just b. If we divide -5b by positive 5, it'll give us -b, which isn't what we want. Does this answer your question? If not, please let me know.

  • @Aam2008mui
    @Aam2008mui Год назад +1

    For question 2, I think you meant to sat 24 divided by 4, not 24 minus 4. How did you get 2×2 for the bottom part? I got the part where 4-2=2 but where did it 2x1 came from?

    • @TestPrepChampions
      @TestPrepChampions  Год назад

      Hi, thank you for watching! Yes, at about 13:02 I did say minus instead of divide, sorry for the confusion! I showed it right but said it wrong. And for the second part of your question, 4-2 is 2, then outside the parenthesis is an exclamation, which means you do 2x1. Does this clear things up for you? If not, please let me know and I'm happy to explain further.

    • @Aam2008mui
      @Aam2008mui Год назад

      @@TestPrepChampions for me the confusion part is that the top exclamation is 4×3×2×1, then why is the exclamation for the bottom part is 2×1?

    • @TestPrepChampions
      @TestPrepChampions  Год назад

      The exclamation is part of the combination formula. It represents the factorial of a number. This means you must multiple the number by all numbers below it. So, for example, 4!=4x3x2x1. As another example, 7!= 7x6x5x4x3x2x1. There are 4 movies in the set, so n=4. The formula calls for n factorial (aka 4!). So you have to do 4x3x2x1 in the top. Since she's borrowing 2 different movies, r=2.
      The formula in the bottom calls for you to do r!(n-r)!. So for the bottom, you have to do 2x1 for r!, and (n-r)! which is 2x1, then you multiply 2x2.
