  • A drive from Oughtershaw Road, through Gayle, to Askrigg. Looks like Thursday morning is trash collection day. :-/
    Car: 2011 BMW 320d (diesel, automatic)

    Askrigg was the 'Darrowby' and the vet's home where they filmed 'All Creatures Great and Small', I believe.

      I am a 70 year old lady from Canada who would love to live in this area for my remaining years, unfortunately I am too old and don't have enough money. Every now and then I watch videos of he Beggerman Road which I have biked and walked numerous times.

    This road will automaticly end at T minus 1 minute 59 58 57 56 55 54 53 52 51 etc. etc............

    Looks like a great Target road for my next visit - why dont you try a bike its sucha rush downhill !

      As did I! (not at the same time as yourself, obviously!) :)
      In fact, the blast of fresh air in the morning as I climbed out of the boot is one of my most treasured memories of visiting the Dales.
