I'm just sketching from imagination. I have taken a new approach to doing the general layout. I used to do my layouts by using a lot of strokes in creating basic shapes, which would take some time. Now I just use a simple contour line to get the basic image, then start to flesh out from there. Drawing with a camera overhead can be difficult as it changes my visual perspective, plus I haven't been able to find my glasses, so my details might be a little rough at times.
When you do these sketches, do you base it off of something else, or are you just using your mind's eye?
