An unbiased lawyer would have asked how can a player agreed, signed and played one whole year with an “invalid” contract? So if this was an “invalid” contract, then what’s stopping any club or concerned football loving citizen to ask AIFF/FIFA legally to strip all titles and match results of Mohun Bagan SG? Shouldn’t someone ask for sanctions on all the involved parties involved - Mohun Bagan SG, Delhi FC and Anwar Ali? 2. Article 17 stated that “If a club signs a player who has terminated his contract without just cause, there will be a presumption that the club has INDUCED the player to commit a breach.” So nobody has to prove anything about how East Bengal induced Anwar Ali. 3. Yes AIFF law can never supersede General law/Constitutional law. That’s why the player is allowed to leave (if he wants to) even after an “without just cause” termination. Nobody can force someone to play/work if the player/worker doesn’t want to. 4. “However, such termination has been found to be without just cause and the consequences in accordance with Article 20 of the AIFF RSTP, 2024 and any other associated regulations will be applicable.” Clearly this part of the hearing is completely over and the debate between “just cause” and “without a just cause “ should stop now. Next hearing will not be about the termination but about the compensation only. All the discussions should ONLY be about the consequences according to Article 20. There’s no point discussing about FIFA rules and loan deals now, that part is already over. But I guess everybody knew it was “without just cause” from the beginning.
