The problem,....it's a damn TRANS AM SERIES race car. They have to take it back to more of a STOCK CAR. It's too stiff, no roll over in the car, the short sidewalls are too short and stiff. They are trying to race a road race car everywhere. Raise the car, go back to 15" rims, and have at least 700HP.
Narrow the tires, get rid of the damn diffuser, change the transmission or rear end to where there is no shifting, take it up to at least 800 hp. Make these cars hard to drive.

Reduce the contact patch by grooving the slicks for all short tracks. Keeping the stagger, unlike the fact that the wet weather tires have no be stagger?
It CAN work with this car, but it needs a couple of things. 1. A tire soft enough to actually have wear and fall off within a 30-50 lap window. 2. The brakes are so good on this car that it reduces the braking zone massively, which means they need higher speed coming in to give that back. More HP, 750-900 range would help massively there, as well as gice enough power ro actually wear down the rears quickly More than anything else, issue lies in tires first and foremost. No better evidence of that than Bristol
