Hello Greg, I like to know how others do things. I’m not that stuck in my ways. If there’s a better or easier way to do them, why not. Thank you for sharing, much appreciated! 😉👍🏼

My winter savory grows in my herb planter as a small woody shrub. Can you divide savory? I dry my herbs in my garden shed as well, but don’t collect as much as you. I tie the branches in small bunches and hang them from the rafters.

Yes, you can divide most of the clumping herbs. BTW - this is just a fraction of the herbs I save :)

Wait, how do you store them??? And they be used as indicated in a recipe?

I'll make a video on how to store them in a few weeks, once they are dry

I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with the few herbs I’ve grown as of yet... something ate all my basil plants once they got to like 4” tall 🙄 and what wasn’t chewed off at ground level got leaf miners which killed them..... so yeah... better luck next year maybe 🤷‍♀️

Basil is tricky - it needs your best soil and best sun. Try a couple perennial herbs next year - much easier :)
