I'm glad that has meaning! It's been my entire lifetime since all that started happening, so showing how it was depicted at the time seems relevant to things people are discussing today
@TheAntiqueNomad I agree because ongoing events and what and how we learn about them change how we understand historical stories such as the snapshot of an important one here. My problem is that all of it worries me, like a lot.
Hey, I just watched u find that at the antique mall,, where the young woman, you met, who is into the warm cozy things that had been in her grandmother's home 😊 my Grandparents had a modest collection of bohemian glass. A bedside lamp and matching cool shaped vases which were always placed on either side of their the mantle
Hey George... what an amazing assortment of items. All really interesting pieces and great stories. I love that some of these are first time finds for you. I know that can feel like unicorn hunting with your experience in the business. 😊 kicking myself. In my 20s, the 1980s, i was very into jewelry with what i felt was a generous disposable income. Fashion Bug carried JJ jewelry pieces and i bought an entire fish tackle box (my jewelry box) full of the pins, earrings necklaces etc. FB often had coupons to get 4 or 5 for$20. My favorites were the cats, esp the pewter pieces which cost a little more. All sold at a yard sale for $1 each... 😕🤦♀️🤷♀️
Well, silly me. I've had my notifications turned off! No wonder I keep missing your videos. Sigh. Well, I guess I'm still learning but saving money. ;) Hope you are doing well George (you too Xeno!) ✌🏼
I appreciated you explaining that Bohemian glass doesn’t refer to a “style”, but a a real place in Europe. My great grandfather was born there and my grandfather spoke Czech until he started school in the US. I always referred to myself as “Bohemian”. When I worked retail in my teens, I had a lot of old men see my name tag and start speaking in Czech. Fifty years on, there are no more Czech speaking people around here, and nobody knows what “Bohemian” means.
Question: how would they fill up those itty bitty perfume bottles? Did they have miniature funnels? Those are cool. I love that Bohemian bottle at the beginning. You have a great day and safe travels
I wionder if the early Far Side strips are becoming collectable. Zap brings to mind Far Side and that it was particularly against the Vietnam draft and war.
i love the pieces that have historical significance like the Danny Lion print, great selection George.

I have a very small start of a collection of green bohemian glass vases.
I have never seen one of those!
I thought it had uniqueness
wondering if the silver decanter came from the historic fancy hotel in downtown Spokane, the decanter you bought in Idaho.
It was a nice hotel in its time, but not quite the level of The Davenport
Hi George 🎉
