I’ve been struck by how close Josh plays to WTA pros in tie breaks, but I’m careful on what conclusions to make. Is it the “oh, look how much better men are than women, such that a club player can challenge a female pro?” Nope. While it’s true that a strong club male can probably bring power dimensions that women are less likely to see regularly, the real tale would be told in a best-of-three set match, where the pro has time to get used to that explosive pace and the law of large numbers takes over. The female pro is just too consistent, and the club player will inevitably make more mistakes. But for a tie breaks? Amusing!!!
Exactly. You see it with top pros against people they haven't played. The new player may do well at first. But, over the course of a match the veteran top pro figures them out and dismantles them.
I'd like to see a best of three between those two. I agree that I think Harriet's superior fitness and expertise would win out by a larger margin than we saw in that tie break. Would be good to see though.
Josh played the best I've seen so far, I've seen every single one of this series. And Harriet is a sweet heart. As long she is not playing Katie Boulter.. 🙄😉
Josh could win more tiebreaks, if he wasn't going for the big shots all the time. Or, let him lose money on each unforced error ;))), we need to get him much more patient. But then again, it IS good (and apparently professional) comedy seeing him overestimate himself. 😜 Harriet is awesone. Your videos are ace, good job guys.
Josh would love to see you play a proper 1-setter against one of these WTA pros, like on the Winston Du channel. No pressure mate just let it rip ! 😀 everyone is interested to know how a great club player would fair against a pro player.
I must admit I thought this would be an embarrassing farce (in Harriet's favour), but Josh really can play! I was most impressed with his level of tennis.
Don't know how good Josh Berry is as a comedian but he's definitely a capable tennis player. I've known county level players I reckon he would have beaten. I don't care how much power someone has, tennis isn't the kind of game one can just roll up for and play like Andy Murray, and I suspect if his heart was in it, he could have been good enough to play pro?
Just out of interest if Josh is not a pro tennis player and only a 'comedian'?? how are you going about asking pro players to play against him?? Can average Joe play against Josh too then?? I have watched a few of the tie break challenges but must admit Harriet was very down to earth, why not have Emma Raducannu or Katie Boulter???
I’m not sure. I know someone who played mid level D1 tennis and crushed female pros in practice. Someone like prime Serena or Iga would be different, but there’s a HUGE difference in the quality of play between a top 10 WTA and a player in the 60s
@@colesmith7509 Yes. But I firmly believe that just about any male player who is solid D1 would defeat a top ranked female. Heck, Yanis Ghazouani Durand (then ranked 1150 in the World) defeated female World number 57 Mirra Andreeva. Prime Serena would have still lost to a top D1 male.
Dart almost got beat by a posh gobby giraffe, beaten by a lanky trappy oike , mmmmm nbr4 you say , well your probably right but thats why i dont watch WTA now there's no lookers playing anymore.
This is a pretty embarrassing advert for British tennis that the supposed British No.4 gets run so close by some amateur hacker guy. That blue racquet clearly isn't helping much.
Replying in case that was a genuine comment. Not really; I think it's probably similar to a penalty shoot-out (vs. the same goalie) between a pro female and a decent amateur male footballer, assuming both play attacking roles normally and can strike a ball. The outcome gets even closer if the pro is taking it fairly easy (Harriet looked the same at the end as at the start) and the amateur is going for it. Harriet reached Rd2 in the Aus Open and took the (now-)World #17 to 3 sets. Not sure Josh is quite ready to do that.
If they played best of 3 sets I think Josh would be wrecked. He got some great shots in, but to keep that up for an hour or more would be a different matter.
Can’t get enough of these videos, they’re brilliant 😂
I think Harriet really comes across well on these videos. She looks great fun and doesn't take herself too seriously, lovely to see!!
It’s a shame that she does on the court though, always looks on the verge of tears when she’s losing.
@TomTom-vm8qs look at Sabalenka after losing the Aussie Open if you want to see a proper melt down after losing!!
@@TomTom-vm8qs Not always but she occasionally displays a vile temper. The worst for that is Putinseva.
@@markhibbitt1269 watch harriet last summer on grass, such a brat
The best one yet Harriet comes across really well. I also think the pros get a shock at how decent josh is and they have to take it pretty serious .
always amazing to see two completely different players on the court
this is exactly what i needed on my sunday afternoon, keep these coming 😁
The Robbie impression at 5:55 😂

Why would Harriet agree to that? Thats too much time for her to give@raytrace2014
I think josh is beyond club level. Not pro, but might have played at a competitive college.
@@anthonyvizzo1456yeah and he’s also 6f6. Most club players are not 6f6
Dart giving the banter right back. Loved it. What a gem.
Been SO pumped for this one! PLEASE find a way to get Harriet back, she was brilliant.
Impressed with Josh’s calling accuracy.
Josh played the best I've seen so far, I've seen every single one of this series. And Harriet is a sweet heart. As long she is not playing Katie Boulter.. 🙄😉
Well she did win the match between them at Wimbledon last time out...
Love Harriet she brings energy and a certain spunkiness to the video!
Always great to get another chance to watch Josh lose.
I really enjoyed that and thought that they both came across very well. Harriet is great fun and Josh can play!
I always find it hilarious and alarming just how good Josh is. Never gets old.
Finally, Josh is back 🥳
By far the best Josh has ever played - well in son
How lovely lady Harriet is. Thank you Harriet.
More of Harriet, please. Maybe mini tips and lessons?
Really lovely to see Harriet here - she’s a good sort and a good sport 😅

Maybe in matches against other club players, but lengthening the point against a WTA professional doesn't sound like a great strategy.

He would get pumped 6-1 imo
No shame in losing to a WTA pro. If Josh can put himself out there and sneak a game or two it would make for interesting content.
@@allthingstennis that's what we want to see
Was rooting for Harriet down under a couple weeks ago!
"I've been on roids" lmfao plase release more content guys
Bloodyhell, Josh hits a good ball for a high level club player. He has pro level pace. Very impressive!
Awesome video and good banter as oer usual!😂
Well done both!!! Just what I wanted.
Harriet is a sweetheart! I could watch her play this type of tennis all day 😍
I must admit I thought this would be an embarrassing farce (in Harriet's favour), but Josh really can play! I was most impressed with his level of tennis.
Best content ever. ❤
The people demand a rematch
Nice match up John and Harriet!
He's back!

What venue is this?
Wow he is actually very good!! Wow
Beautiful content.
We love dart!
So fun ❤
Harriet is awesome great personality fabulous hit with Josh thought there was some chemistry there 😍
next time i wanna see harriet dart vs katie boulter but with boxing gloves
Hitting tennis balls or each other?
I can get behind this.
Best I’ve seen Josh play.
Man I really have a thing for Harriet 😂
That serve was defo in!!
I have the same racket as Josh the psvs. Please let me know the strings and tension 🙏🏽
Josh vs Winston Du!
love joshy what a player
As much as we rag on Josh, he's got game! Curious to his highest ranking if he ever competed?
Josh is getting better every new video. He’ll be playing like Andy Murray soon.
Ross's idiom at 7:44 caused Harriet to lag
Awesome!
What racket is josh using?
Looks like a Babolat Pure Strike
Josh should play with Mansour Bahrami. Now that would be a comedy double act!
Josh you almost had it man! Harriet barely broke a sweat though 😅 go Josh!!
Josh can seriously play, that is not an average club player 😂
Really loving that Yonex.
He is actually a really good player no? Guaranteed he secretly plays at lot and probably in local summer competition.
Is she playing the 98 or 100?
Can you tell to Josh that his toos is too low? 1m up and would be less net, more power and better efficiency.
Just out of interest if Josh is not a pro tennis player and only a 'comedian'?? how are you going about asking pro players to play against him?? Can average Joe play against Josh too then?? LOve josh
Harriet would lose in 2 sets if they had hawk-eye.
Was she trying? Hard to believe she's #64
Don’t forget Harriet is a professional. Unless you’re like a top D1 ranked man you’re not beating a female pro.
D1 man would smoke her and not even a top ranked one. She’s a UTR 12 that’s like line 6 at a d1 school

It's actually kind of boring to watch Josh go for a winner on every stroke. Tennisbros has far more entertaining rallies.
Josh's sidekick is annoying, less of him please
aha, unfortunately, I own ATT, so you're outta luck!
@@allthingstennis lmaooo
How's he annoying? What do you want him to do/ not do? How do you get on with everyday life and the people in it?
Mind you, you did ask nicely.
What's sad is, he had to let Dart win. :/
Well hes a better tennis player than a comedian thank fook..
