Unsound Talk: An Interrupted History of The Foghorn (Jennifer Lucy Allan &Kevin Martin aka The Bug)

Jennifer Lucy Allan, author of The Foghorn’s Lament, will give a short performance talk on the esoteric history of how foghorns came to dominate coastlines. This will be followed by a conversation with musician and producer Kevin Richard Martin (aka The Bug) on mutual sonic obsessions with the physical effects of music, sound and weather on our bodies, whether in the club or on the coast. Martin will discuss his quest for the heaviest music and his experiences growing up in Weymouth listening to the foghorns Jennifer Lucy Allan is consumed by.
