@@Benny.204definitely needs to be nembhard. Nesmith struggles to get around screens and fouls too much. Nembhard is a better guard and point of attack defender

Even without Mitchell Robinson. If he isn't playing. Heartinstein will give Myles problems.. I wish we could get Heartinstein in FA. Then OG, Brunson, Hart, Donte will all give us issues. They're much deeper than we are.. Especially now, without Mathurin, no Hield.. Getting Pascal instead of OG.. Changing our whole offense, instead of focusing on filling the gap at SF and could have addressed it in FA. Also in the draft over the past couple year's.. Yet we did nothing. Walker may be able to play some solid SF minutes if they'd play him.. But wasn't drafted as one and I don't consider Mathurin one myself. I think he's more of a SG/SF combo.. so many guy's I'd tried for in the draft and FA.. I said so many different combinations and they did nothing.. So frustrating. Now Obi, one of the best young guy's we have. Has to come off the bench. When he should have earned the starting spot. His overall game has improved everywhere. I'm more interested in keeping the Offense we had, developing our young guy's. Because they're really good player's with potential. Obi and Smith both basically being top 10 picks.. But instead they could potentially blow up some of our chances at retaining our young guy's. Who are going to be much better over the next couple year's.. Obi is already a guy I like better than Pascal.. Pascal has been a good defender.. But never a great defender. Except maybe that Bulls game I remember where he blocked Cody White. He played hard on D that game.. But his offense isn't ever consistent enough either and he slows down the game.. Doesn't stretch the floor much, even when he could he doesn't most often. Always a catch, a post, back down or dribble dribble shoot a midrange or try to spin to the rim for a layup. He plays a more individual game. He's not making others around him better, except maybe Myles when Myles actually tries to play.. He's our other starting big who shows up whenever he wants to.. It's annoying. I said it before the last game.. Obi deserves WAYY more minutes. He's doing more in 17 to 20 minutes than Pascal does in 42.. Obi has improved a ton defensively and is the only guy outside Nesmith that really plays with hustle and he's closing out. Stays on his toes, looks to pick up and rotate on switches. He's a guaranteed 75 to basically a 100% going towards the rim. Unstoppable, can even create and dribble his way past some guy's to get to the rim. He's super quick in transition, I.Q and a quick trigger bucket at 3. His shot has been sped up so much and consistency has been great all year.. Even when they haven't played him with the starting unit. He still finds a way to be affective/consistent. But he does soo much better when playing with Hali and he makes Hali's game better.. and Nesmiths.. Everyone's really.. I said before the last game. If they want pace and space. To get that energy Rick was supposedly looking for in game 5. Then they should play Pascal at the C and sit Myles, or sit Pascal and Myles at C.. Pascal is probably the better rebounder than Myles and post scorer.. Myles has the 3 ball.. So you might pick your poison depending on matchups with those two also. Myles a little taller.. Less hustle at time's. But he's been bringing more intensity when it matters. Which I love to see that. He does play harder when games mean more. Wish it was all season and that he'd set more screens.. if any would be nice. He never rolls, not that quick. Sucks, because Hali thrives with that as well.. Which he could get a little more of that with Pascal and Obi.. maybe more so Obi if they'd even try it. Seems like they don't ever use screens. I'd ran Nesmith off some for 3's also. Dude was great at shooting off screen's in college. Could even get a little action going with passes back to Haliburton for him to drive to the rim or shoot. Saw just a little of that with Myles and Hali in one game. I thought I was hallucinating. I thought omg.. Myles playing off the pick n roll with Hali and passing back to Hali.. Made some solid plays out of it that game. But back to Pascal. If he's not being very consistent on Offense and not better than good at Defense. He doesn't deserve anywhere near a Max Contract.. Dude was the 3rd best player on the 2019 Raptors.. Much better then on D. So much that he could even play some SF.. Now he's a completely different player. Doesn't get out in transition, lost the D and most of his toughness that made him a really good player.. He's been slipping ever since that year Defensively and overall.. Speed and 3pt shot also... So no, I'm not that stoked about him. He's a solid player.. But not what we needed. Could help us in the immediate.. But shouldn't have been the focus imo. Just isn't that important. Not when we need to retain Obi. Would have even liked to have kept Smith around. Unless there's a better option... We absolutely need to focus drastically on a SF.. One that's pretty dang good. Not that there's many that good to choose from this year.. That's why it was some bs to lose out on OG. I'd traded them Brown, Nembhard and preferably Jackson. If I had to and he wasn't in the plans, I guess Smith.. But I'd tried to not traded him. Because I'd personally traded Jackson this off-season anyways. Despite if we lost Smith. Then gave them maybe a pick or two more. Whatever it took to get OG.. But as far as involving Mathurin and Obi.. Nah.. I'd just passed all together on a trade.. Probably kept Heild around. Since didn't get basically sh!t for him.. Let him play out the season for us. Limit his minutes however we saw fit due to his play. I'd let him know if you play hard on both ends.. Improve the D a bit we'd love to have you back for sure.. But idk if he got down considering the contract situation. Knowing we weren't all that interested in giving him around 20 some mil a year.. But seems like he slipped more after the contract fall out. Idk.. But he still could have helped us this season.. Even though we didn't expect Mathurin to go down. Then who know's. Maybe he starts playing better for us late in the season and we make the playoffs. Which I think we would have without Pascal. Even with playing Walker good minutes at SF/PF. Could have even tried for a more lowkey trade on a solid/scrappy SF. Or a SF/SG type guy. A lot of those if we couldn't get OG. Would have helped us a lot.. Even more so if we'd just signed guy's I suggested as in Derrick Jones Jr. who hung around forever in the draft.. Had a great +/- with the Bulls the season prior and another great transition guy and imagine having him and Obi running down court at the same time with Haliburton pushing the ball.. Even could have played him at SG and Nesmith some at the SF. They're both switchable and can shoot.. Or have gotten Kelly Oubre Jr. as the other I suggested and could have been even better... Dude's a great energy player.. Scrappy as hell, can shoot create and just a scorer. SG/SF both.. Pisses me off.. Because adding one of those and possibly could have gotten OG.. Drafted GG Jackson or Trace Jackson Davis who's even from Indiana late.. I said take the chance on GG and what do we have to lose.. he'd been a guy we could have definitely used at his position and height... He breaks out in the G-League and would have in the NBA.. We'd been amazing with all these player's. Could have tried to move up in the past couple drafts to snag some great SF's and didn't.. Frustrating. Got guy's at positions and player's we didn't even need.. or where complete head scratchers for me... Like wth. Why.. smh lol Wrote a novel.. Can't help it man.. sh!t is frustrating at time's. I'm passionate as hell about my team. Wish I could be a scout or GM that mofo.
Randle too, I left him out. They're just deep and better put together at all positions now than we are.. They made better choices in FA and trades the past couple year's. I think all team's were crazy including them for not trying to draft Jalen Williams. Who I had going in my top 8.. to 12 at the least.. and yet team's were surprised to see him be that good.. OKC just takes chances on guy's like him.. so was just a random selection for them I think.. But I saw his game and potential very high eary. Was obvious to me. Then to think Tari Eason slipped to like 18 and Christian Braun a little later than I expected. Thought Bulls or Hawks would have picked him up. But great pickup by Denver. Many solid Wings last year all over teens through 20s for sure. I liked Bobi Klintman last year in the draft. He's like a bigger SF/PF imo. I think he could play some SF. Because he's so skilled all around. I think his consistency will go up. It should anyways. Has a very nice looking shot and even off the dribble. Handles, D and gets to the rim fairly well.. Also a chance he could go 20, or 28. So I'd try to move up from 36 and use the other or so.. whatever. If he's not there. Then there at least would be another decent SF available around then.. Not as much at 36 at that position I don't think. But idk, we shall see..
