@@MustSeeTech Can you pls show some with full bath at affordable pricing.
@@shandaferguson4874 There are no 'Traditional' teardrops with an indoor wet or dry bathrooms as traditional teardrops aren't tall enough to stand in. However there are some hybrid teardrop / mini-campers that have bathrooms, tall enough to stand in such as NuCamp's Tag and T@b models, Little Guy Mini Max, InTech, Pro-Lite, Escape, Casita or Scamp and new, will be $20K - $30K, but so much more expensive than my list below. If those exceed your budget, I just saw a 'Traditional' looking camper, a new Forest River 2021 Wolf Pup 14CC with a wet bath for $11K on eBay but do extensive research on this company's reputation and you'll hopefully choose a different brand.
@@patrickio8084 Oh ok thank you for taking the time to research my question. Im looking forward to more of your videos.
@@shandaferguson4874 You're welcome but I'm not the narrator of this video....just been doing lots of research on teardrops and small campers for several years.
By the time you add all of the extras they’re not so cheap anymore! Holy hell the add-ons are outrageous!
That how they get you
Then install the add on stuff yourself ..
I like that you list prices. Thanks.
Hi, Bill. Thanks for watching!
@@MustSeeTech I haven't seen any of the prices listed.. Every time I look they are MUCH more than what is listed?
hi, Amber. I try to source pricing direcly from the manufacturers' websites, but of course, if you are buying from a dealer or adding options, prices may differ substantially
Compared to many “top 10 channels”, you actually do your research and care about the quality of the videos.
Thank you.

Patrick O'Flaherty I can’t find anything online about Ted Ball. Is this just a guy that builds them?
@@midwestsidehustles6918 I found him on Craig's List. Couldn't find him just now but I had copied his listing and it's pasted below. Just based on a few photos, these are the simplest, most basic teardrops I've ever seen that are commercially available. They give the immediate impression that it's some Do-It-Yourselfer in his garage. He can be reached at (715) 651-4542.
Only advertises on Craig’s List Minneapolis - He’s in Cumberland, WI
$2,500 - Lowest Priced Commercially Made Teardrop
I build these campers in my shop at home. I am not a factory.
Very Spartan buildout - just 3 shelves in galley and 1 in cabin
I've averaged 2 a month for the last 5 years, year around.
The campers are 4x8 and 4' high.
Sleeps two comfortably, three if you're really good friends.
There is a little over 6 1/2' of leg room in the cabin.
There is one shelf in the rear of sleeping cabin.
A good sized rear galley with a counter top and 1 shelf.
Door locks from outside and inside
LED lights in the galley and cabin.
The whole top has an aluminum skin.
Roof and front wall is insulated.
The sides and hatch lid are wood grained-
factory primed and painted with
Acrylic Latex House paint
12v powered vent on top
110v hook-up. With outlets in the cabin and galley.
Spare tire and a leveling jack on front.
4 prong flat plug for trailer lights.
BALL HITCH IS 1-7/8"
Probably weighs around 650 lb.
Aluminum windows that open with screens.
The inside is left unpainted so you can paint or
carpet or whatever you want.
No money down to get on my build list, just your
first name and phone number. I'll call you when
it's done. You can cancel or change your mind
any time before it leaves my yard.
Nothing personal, but no checks or money orders.
Payment will be in cash only when you pick it up.
Patrick O'Flaherty thanks so much for that info! I am going to reach out and see if he can do a 5x8 or even a 6x8. This is what we’re looking for! Bare bones, a place for me and my son to rest after fishing, biking, hiking etc. cheers!
@@midwestsidehustles6918 You're very welcome! Let me know if he can accommodate your request so I can update my info!
Patrick O'Flaherty I did find his craigslist ad and he is not building for the next six weeks due to a broken arm. I am probably going to pass on contacting him because the build does look very “home garage” like, and for $300 more and a shorter drive to Indy, I can get the bare-bones highway basic from Hiker, even though I’ll probably wait almost a year for it. Thanks for the info again!
Very informative video. Thank you for the visual summaries on each model. I took notes and will watch it a second time to take it all in. Well done!
Thank you so much for this! I have been searching for cheaper ones even if they're used. All I've found were $7+, which is too much for something so small that can't be driven lol
I AM just halfway through and my spider senses are tingling. Thank you so much for this selection. I know this may sound crazy but I am looking for ME space for my house and travel if possible and SHE SHED is not feasible at this time. I love multi purpose small things, houses furniture and these trailers can be used in so many ways and for the price......hmmmmmmmm. Delightfull.
THANK YOU THANK YOU
This has been very informative! Thank you
Wow! Thanks for adding us to your cool video ! Camp on !
Thanks for building such awesome campers!
I like the vinyl flooring because it does not accumulate odors as the camper ages (carpeting, you can add it and change it out).
Hi, Alice. Thanks for your feedback. Do you have a preferred model on this list?
Thanks for this video!!! Even though the last one wasn’t the cheapest model, it sure beats the price of renovated vans and RVs!!! I love how the last one expands so much. I think to own one, I will get the best bang for my buck!!!
Thanks for watching! Hope you will find the ideal model for you
Thanks for this video. Super helpful
These trailers seem to be good value for money. Thank you for the video.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Im happy to see Hiker and RUnaway made the list!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, all the info I was looking for!
You are welcome! Glad to be useful
i watched all your videos, and wanted to saythank you for the reviews and product information.
I believe I could build one myself using a utility trailer from Tractor Supply. I mean if I set aside $3000-$5000, I have faith in myself to build something of quality and have fun doing it.
Yep. I built mine using harbor freight trailer and supplies from Menards. Have probably $800.00 in the project and have been using it for 6 years.. I have more miles on it than most!
Chad, I'm finishing up my third teardrop build. I weld my own frames, and have cabin and galley cabinets, full aluminum skin(even the under belly), dual doors with a full electrical system. No plumbing. I'm averaging about $5,000 in materials. Your cost assessment is accurate 👍 (I could go cheaper, but want a high quality product with a few amenities) Good luck!! If you like to build stuff, this is a fun and rewarding experience...
OMG. 1 hr. into researching these trailers and I think I will be buying!!!!!!!!!FINALY .
There is manufacturer literals 1 hr from me so I can see and customize while seeing what I am getting.
I love your channel!!@@!

Great selection...I'm new in this space so I'm excited to check them out.
Thanks. Glad to be useful!
I have built a "Big Woody" from a kit. One of the most pleasurable things I have ever built. Very tough to stay under budget though, wanting to add all the goodies into it. Spent right about $10,000. Well worth it.
Thanks for sharing. Did you get to try it out yet?
@@MustSeeTechOh yes, many times. Fully heated, air conditioned, with all the goodies. This is why it is hard to stay under budget when you build. I love the way a teardrop is so easy to pull. Great video Must See Tech
👍 glad you liked it.
Outbound trailers in Nebraska are very nice as well and great pricing...

3500-pound axle on the My-Mini. It's way rugged for as light as it is. People paying big for Timbren suspension, when you could drag a My-Mini anywhere your to vehicle will go, and you'll be able to go more places than the fancy ones, because it's so light, and you're less afraid of beating it up!
They are a great.I will be purchasing one.Which have a/c?
@@Linda-vj8di AC is standard equipment on Runaways. I think you have to special-order one without it.
I have a STANDY (Tiny Camper Company) but with the sofa bed. I love it...I just got it..❤👍
Nice! Have you taken it out yet?
Very good research. I own a Black Rugged 4x8 teardrop from Tiny Camper Company and love it!
Thanks for sharing! Where have you camped with it?
Really a good compilation for small trailer ideas, if nothing else.
Hi, glad it was useful.
I have a whitewater retro 509 jr that i picked up fully loaded for $8k and i love it! teardrop camping is way less stressful than pulling my parents 32" camper trailer we used to have for family trips. just hitch up and go
Thanks for your video. You spoke fine so dont listen to the trolls.
I used to rent teardrops and now my thoughts are shifting to squaredrops. Squaredrops make more use of a small space.
Thanks for the channel.
Thanks for watching!
I like my foamie squaredrop....
I like the standee I used to have a small bivy type II Men tent switch to a larger Dome Tent just because I got tired and crawling out of bed in the morning I think if you have a shelter you can stand up in it is a benefit
Thanks for sharing, Wade. Glad you have found something that interested you
#10 Earth Traveler Teardrop, I automatically eliminated without consideration because of price.
Thx for creating this video ! I’ve been struggling to find a video with more affordable trailers.

Very cool! 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video. Which model is your favorite?
Love my Runaway!!!
Hi, do you have the Cool Camp?
Must See Tech Yes, although when I bought it it was called the XL (2018 model). I have enjoyed it very much. It pulls like it’s not even there, does very little damage to my gas mileage, fits in my garage and is a great conversation starter. And the Shives family (company owners) are great to deal with!
I bought a 2019 Coolcamp at the Florida office and drove home to New Brunswick, Canada..great trip with no problems pulling it with a 4 cylTacoma
Thank you!!!!
You are welcome. Happy if the video was useful for you
That last one is ridiculously expensive considering it's the least sturdy. It's basically just a tent. lol
Loved this Video. I had no idea the word "Affordable" could be used in the same sentence as campers. Thank You!
Building one is under half the cheapest one but these are some cool ones
Nice! Thanks for sharing, Andy. What are your must-haves for the trailer?
Nice!
Thanks for watching. Which model did you like?
I liked 3 and 5 for the already set up power and tight fit of how they are made
Thanks for sharing, Jeremy
I really like the hiker trailer

This or a tiny home. We shall see. Great info. Most appreciated. 😁👍

Great video
Thanks!
A number of these appear to be great values! For my money, 5x10’ is advisable, to allow for entry/utility space in bad weather; so that you’re not climbing directly into the sleeping area from the outside.
Thanks for the feedback!

Great info about what the possibilities in light weight trailers & cheaper. Could u leave out the tag on the bottom of the screen. It covers the views of what the bottom portion of each trailer looks like.

I would sure like to see an updated version of this video that reflects prices And models
For the year 2023.
I love it how do you see these videos a year later and they’ve gone up about $2000
Wow. That is a lot.
Thanks for the info.
@Hidden Treasures; With all the "free" Covid money the government's been throwing at everybody, it didn't take long for manufacturers and retailers to realize that they could raise their prices significantly, or more, depending on the target demographic.
Look up New wave teardrops in Georgia. We have one and really like it. The 5x10 half galley is our model and much recommended. All for $6-8000. Bargain.
Thanks. Will do!
Thanks
Hi, Julie. Thanks for watching

Hi. Which model did you like?
Nice! Did you find any in the west coast that manufactures these types of trailers?
I like #3 price and size!

Runaways are Great campers, Mary. I have a 2018 Cool Camp, got it in October 2018. It has served me very well. It weighs 680lbs dry, but its made of wood and aluminum. With the new material they use now, a Cool Camp weighs 580lbs and has no wood to rot out on you. Feel free to PM me with questions.
Outbound Trailers T-Rex & WeRoll
Starting at $3,500 I believe. Didnt know how to include pictures.....the look similar to hiker
Thanks for sharing these models, Daniel. I will definitely check these out
great info im just now about 2 live the rest of my dream.i will have a small home base and a tiny trailer filled with a lifetime of creations to go from craft show to craft show wherever the best weather is a spot to sleep in as well. I've been trying to find info about the price and the weight my car can pull 1000 lbs. so this was a great help.one question.i live in Michigan' and in my searches a lot of people said I could get the best for my money and less of it if I bought in Indiana???
Hi, Astrid. I would not be able to advise, sorry
New sub! My brother recently bought a Nu Kamp Tag, which is really well-built, and has like _ALL_ of the amenities. It also cost _ALL_ of the money. 💸 As we both slogged through Boy Scouts in tents, any one of these would have been a huge step up, especially in the wintertime "refrigeration" camp outs (as my troop termed them). Thought about building a teardrop out of an old trailer, but factoring the cost of materials, my time, and labor, a lot of these are mighty competitive, even if they've since come up in price a bit. Can always add to it later, right? 😁👍️
Of course, Ted. Is your brother happy with the purchase? Has he taken it out yet?
@@MustSeeTech Absolutely. He loves it. He's gonna need to get one of those giant battery banks/"generators" for the shore-power-only accessories though.
Camping on the "tightest" budget would be camping in a TENT. ;-)
True. Let's say these are for a "moderate budget" =)
@@MustSeeTech I can live with that :)
A tent if you can afford it. A cardboard box and used plastic dropcloth if you can't. (Since we're being technical)
There is a tent trailer by Time Out Trailers that is very affordable and combines tenting and trailers.
Also consider Idaho Bed Roll and Bug Out Trailer.
I have a low budget and drive a 2012 Subaru Outback. Are there any that have both heat and AC? I need a comfortable large bed and lots of storage but no need for kitchen and bathroom. My Outback can tow up to 200p pounds. Any ideas?
Which one would pull good behind a bass boat trailer
4/20/2021...The Hiker model has a of 15 month build time. The My Mini Trailer has a wait time of 10 months. These are all build to order. If you don't mind waiting or maybe find a used one.
Thanks for sharing the information! Upvoming your comment!
You given a lot to think about
Ill take the Do Drop,,,, only 550 lbs,,,, i have A Toyota Corolla can tow 1500,, so that should be small enough.or maybe Star city teardrops,,,
I'm interested in buying one. How do I go about it and where are they to pick up.
I'm looking at all of these, thinking "wow, affordable prices", but then I go to their websites and the CHEAPEST models are 3,000$+ more expensive than in this video. What the hell?
Hi. The video is over a year old. The prices did not age well, I guess😟
I Need A/C and a 120VAC plug inside. Also needs to plug into a shore power pedestal.
Hiker's website says their Indiana facility is in Columbus IN., a city known for its public art.
Thanks for the info!
I can build that myself, and save!
Of course, Jeffrey. If you have enough time and the necessary skills, you definitely can
It's number nine for me tbh
Hey. Thanks for sharing your favorite!
I would like to see more small trailers you can stand in so you can get your pants on lol
Hi, Wade. That is a valid concern🙂 I will research the topic
@@MustSeeTech thank you if you post more videos I definitely will check them out
Runaway makes a model like this
Stand up trailers will cost 3-5 thousand more. This video is geard to those wanting to as little as possible (3-5k). Plenty of video for what you are looking for
all price seems up 20-50%, as the video was made in Mar 2020 before covid time
I've noticed that as well😥
Build it yourself and save even more
