Thank you for making this video. I used another of your videos to get me to car wreck. I greatly appreciate it. This one I tried today Sunday (August 04, 2024) around 1400. It was so hot. No shade. Came down from the laguna park down west ridge trail to Mathis canyon trail to wood canyon trail to dripping cave. The trails are pretty steep. Take lots of water and enough energy to make it back up

Did this hike this morning! Saw a coyote chasing after what I believe was a mule deer. The caves were really awesome too.

The route from Top of the World is shorter and you can loop back up Wood Canyon for some more terrain variation. It’s cool when it drips! They closed the loop a bit back for the Cave within the last two years, still shows on Google Maps.

Yea, that's about the same length on the (official) Car Wreck, 5m round trip, you can take unofficial loop trail and it's a little shorter. I like that way too but for families and beginners the 1000ft of climbing up from there would be challenging. Overall so many great trails in the park system around there.

Did this yesterday coming down from car wreck and had an amazing time. Great mixture of terrain/fauna.
