Alhamdulillah, for this Khutbah. May Allah give you, Ustadh NAK, good health, knowledge and guidance in bringing people in learning and understanding Quran, aameen Allahumma aameen.
I have a question. The Quran states countless times that those who do not submit to Allah will "burn". Can you show me where in the Torah it says that? The only places in the entire Bible that mentions such a thing are once in Mark, 9: 43, and four times in Revelation. In Mark it's supposedly Jesus speaking, "And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched". So apparently Allah kept the whole burning in hell thing a secret from Moses and every other prophet until Jesus, and then only mentioned it once, and 6 centuries later spoke about it every few verses in the Quran. Why did Allah change so much and suddenly become obsessed with people burning?
the Torah and the Bible today are absolutely not the ones revealed to Moses and Jesus during their lifetimes, let's start with that. both have been corrupted, rewritten, changed and distorted according to the whims of the rabbis and priests. they are not the words of Allah, but of human beings
Torah and bible have been corrupted by man so we don't actually know how many times hell would have been mentioned in the first scriptures since some of it has been ommitted in the newer versions of the scriptures like New Testament and Talmud ( new version of Torah) Quran comes after to let the people know that the previous scriptures were corrupted by man and gave last warnings not to stray from gods path or change his words and since society has become more and more corrupt over time a reminder in the Quran has been set continuously to do good or face the consequences. Its people that forget or try to change Gods laws so god needs to remind us over and over to follow the teachings of the prophets and don't corrupt his words and the world.
Torah engil bible have been changed its not right to put the noble quran in comparison to those and i think its a good thing that your curious on why Allah the most knowledged chose those words. Keep on searching if you dont find any good answers i would be pleased to share contacts with you and help you Sincerely
Well there's the thing, the thorah and injil were the words of Allah given to the prophets musa[As] and isa[As]. These scripture were not accurately preserved. The old testament is now a collection of stories and the new testament is a biography of Jesus by anonymous authors. While the quran is a preserved verbatim speech of Allah. So the Quran has more speech about heaven and hell compared to the current works of the Torah and injil nowadays. Maybe there was more reference in the original scripture but only Allah knows.
