      We need to sterile the equipment if you are using same equipment on multiple trees. It will help us to minimise the cross contamination. Hope I have answered your question

      Hi Daniel,
      I reckon leave the fruiting buds intact. You can prune other branches. Trusting this information is of assistance. Please let me know if you need any further help.

      @backyardfruitorchard3497  6 лет назад +2

      Thanks Aung for your message. It was under by cherry slug. The best way to prevent is to put copper spray when tree is dormant (mainly in winter) and try to rotate the soil upside down, this kills the eggs. Trusting this information is of assistance. Please let me know if you need any further help.

    • @backyardfruitorchard3497
      @backyardfruitorchard3497  2 года назад

      If the flowers are blooming it means it will reach the fruiting stage but please don’t put any fertiliser with high nitrogen, otherwise flowers will die

      So you have cut the fruiting bud?
      New fruiting bud will appear in few seasons depending on effective cross pollination.

    How do you decide where to cut? I followed the summer growth explanation, and you cut where you marked in black. You didn’t explain how you decided where the black mark/cut was decided. Isn’t that the sole purpose of the video (besides the…duh…if a branch is interfering with another tree).

    • @backyardfruitorchard3497

      Thanks for your comment and a query, much appreciated.
      This season we didn’t get a good yield, we had lots of flowering buds but due to excessive percentage of nitrogen in the fertiliser which we have used, we lost most of the crop.
      We reckon you can consider buying dwarf cherry tree (Stella or lapin) from Plant Net, it’s a new introduction and you can buy it online.
      I’m hoping to create an update in the next season.

      Backyard Fruit Orchard thanks so much for getting back to me. I had terrible luck with the trixzie pear, I had 2 and both died for an unknown reason...no disease or anything. I have noticed the plantnet cherries. I think I will grab them. Although i do have my heart set on a white cherry also. May have to make room for a full size white and dwarf black cherries 😉

      Im thinking of getting the black cheree trixzie. Do you recommend this ? Starkrimson cherry also sounds nice. Which one would u recommend ?

    • @backyardfruitorchard3497
      @backyardfruitorchard3497  6 лет назад +1

      Starkrimson cherry grows to 4M, if you have space you can go for this,but dwarf lapin (1/2 size)or dwarf Stella (1/2 size)are better option than trixzie.
