So, if I'm uptight about YET ANOTHER way to emasculate young black men, then so be it. I posted this on my FB page. Folks that I know from different orgs..frats & sororities...were outraged. Perhaps it's a generational thing, or yet a classic case of apathy. I respect your view. I hope you can do the same.

Keep in mind you are not asking my thoughts on the definition of a man or woman rather their traditional roles. If you are referring to relationships, both genders USUALLY have things that they do that are innate. Men provide and protect. Thats what we do. Women care for their men and family. BOTH serve each other. IMHO there is nothing wrong with that. There is SO MUCH that woman can do without having to lessen herself by trying to "act like" a man. In the workplace, men & women SHOULD BE equal

For instance, on my campus, the switch day was a part of Greek Week & if an org didn't have a certain amount of members to participate in the activity they would be fined. Guys in dresses....not cool. And whats up with women acting like men? (that's another convo). When did acting like a woman become wrong? Lastly, the next thing on this slippery slope will be the frats switching colors....
I certainly wouldn't participate in this fragglenacklebull. The problem I had on my campus with this was the chapters HAD to participate or face a fine. THAT is some "shullbit"! And it was all in the name of "Greek Unity". NO WAY this crap would have gone down in my day. And finally, if it's so cute then why don't the frats switch with the frats and the sororities with the sororities? It seem to me that would encourage more "Greek Unity". Sororities and frats aren't usually the ones with beef.
