- Had a good night with the Most Wanted BMW M3 GTR in NFS Heat. Didn't start recording until after I did one race, but that part isn't important anyway. Sort of panicked with those last couple of repairs, especially after getting chunked by that Rhino.

Yeah the Bodykit is right. 1:1.
But the sound is still not right. Its a V8. Not an inline six. But the sound of Heats M3 GTR is that, what a crossplane V8 would sound like. Its sound a bit like an E92 M3 or Z4 GT3 because those two also have crossplane crankshafts.
The actual M3 GTR had the P60B40 wich was a flat-plane crankshaft V8. It revved way higher and more brutal. Also it went all the way up to 8500 RPM while the HEATS M3 GTR just goes to 7500.
However it still has a beautiful sound. Its unique. And the straight cut gears are very nice too!
I wish they add sound Engine from Most Wanted 2005 because this car sound like v6

@@costaskl6589 Am I the only one who thinks that the sound of TVR Cerbera is far,far off from the actual sound of the M3 in the Most Wanted 2005?I've looked through at least 10 videos of Cerberas,ranging from 4.0 to 4.5 L V8s and almost none of them sounded close to MW M3 sound.

But yeah,they really nailed the M3 GTR in Heat,seems to perform good,sounds good,looks good.Just like it should.

The Freeman Initiative Need got Speed Most Wanted 2005... cutscene before final police chase... the player finally claimed his car (this BMW M3 GTR) after beating this driver antagonist punk named “Razor”... another and different antagonist, the main police chief guy named “Cross”, wanted all units on the player bc the player was the Most Wanted street racer who managed to escape from being busted... that bit where he wanted all unit was when he said “i want everyone on this guy”... his ¿assistant? asked “everyone?” And cross snapped and said “EVERYONE!!!!!”

Devin Millar it’s actually upgraded. The “stock” car is only at level 167. It’s pretty accurate actually, considering that when we first drive the car at MW it was a bit slow.

Man seeing this really makes me wish that Most Wanted 2012 wasn't the game it became. The beta footage clearly showed that that game was going to be a sequel to Most Wanted 2005 and Carbon.

even in the beta the game environment was very similar to that of MW 2005 with that one with that half yellowish filter that the game had there were also certain other details that made it look very similar to the NFSMW 2005

I'll never understand why the MW/Carbon protagonist just straight abandoned this car in Carbon, yeah the car got destroyed we all know that, but I mean come on, the guy went through hell back in Rockport just to get this car back. Then, years later the M3 appears again in a totally different city... Why?

I miss how difficult it was when you reached level 5 cop in Most wanted. They are everywhere and you need to very carefully drive to escape them.

Back then there's tons of cops AND pursuit breakers. Now there are not so kany cops but no pursuit breakers, and also damage meter so i dunno which is harder
@@michaeldavid1566 To me it's a matter of which is better, because the last time we had a damage bar we had Rivals, which had cops with a more murderous attitude than half of BBC Luther's villains. But NFS Heat is pretty good, though not the best to me.

Damn , as someone who came from underground 1-2 and most wanted, this need for speed did it, good sense of speed, strong angry cops, and most importantly no god damn brake to drift. Proper grip driving with optional drifting is what people wanted for along time and It’s finally here. I get they did that whole brake to drift thing for the kids to make it fun ... but majority of players seem to be adults coming from the early 2000s of NFS so this is what we’ve wanted, notice how much love this game is getting compared to the previous, they should have done this a while ago 👍🏾

@@arisfellbonilla4106 you mean the TVR Cerberus. Yeah, I know that, however as far as I'm aware those sounds were used for the beta only. They got the real m3 sounds in the end for the final build of the game.
Reason why they used the TVR during development at first was because that engine and the P60B40 were quite similar

After a long list of sub par nfs games this decade, seems like nfs heat just broke that streak.
Perhaps the best NFS in this decade long since Hot Pursuit 2010, what a way to end this 10 years.
While I did find the last two NFS games to be tolerable, if obviously flawed, this one skyrockets far above them. THIS is what NFS is about. Best NFS in such a long time indeed.

Kinda cool but also sad to see that they still profit from a nostalgic car at the cost of Black Box, the devs behind all these legendary car designs such as those from older NFS titles.
Also the devs that have been fired by EA.
Black Box have been the shell on their former self after 2007 onward due to restructuring to focus on Skate franchise back in the day
Their legacy lives on.

Also to add on to what you guys were saying, the Most Wanted BMW M3 GTR used the TVR Cerbera as it’s base sound but added the straight cut gears to its sound. There’s videos of a real BMW M3 GTR Racing at Nünburg. You should check it out. Lemme drop the sound comparison.

The one in NFS replicates the sound from 2016. The 2002 Nünburg one has a low sound quality which kinda throws off the sound. Please share this comment so people will not be confused. Thank you for your time.
The reason why they used the TVR file in MW was because the layouts were similar:

As a hard fan of the M3 GTR I have to say that the NFS franchise wasn't able to nail its sound (or come even close to it) since NFS: Carbon.

iDrKx isn't it what was good about old NFS games ? I remember sometimes taking like 10 minutes to escape the cops in the original MW, and that's basically what made me stick to the game. The police was a real danger.

They had to stop you and not just slamming you from behind over and over again.

Even then, you can just brake check or e-brake to avoid getting hit.
