Dota has a good story despite being a mod from a 2003 game. Better lore than League of Losers. Speaking of, they _used_ to have a cute little lore tab on their shitty client they still have for some reason, it was charming. Still, Icefrog and the other writers are better story teller than Riot ever could be.

The fact that his wings were targeted to make him fall says that this realm of light was somewhere in the sky, a place you call physically fall from. Also, something that is quite interesting is that this is in his bio. "Without wings, he slipped loose from the tethers that bound him within the light and he fell screaming to earth." Skywrath can't attack the false queen because that would rend his magic powers useless. Is it maybe that his powers are in his wings? Are they "binding" him to serve the light. Just like what happened to Venge and Doom. They are now able to attack the false queen now that their wings are gone but Sky isn't. What is also interesting is these lines Terrorblade tell him "Are you an angel?" "Skywrath, what a fine demon you would make." Implying that first of all, he appears to be what the characters in Dota believe are angels. And Lucifer in the Bible used to be an angel before he fell. And the most interesting part is that this would make him a good candidate to be a demon just like Doom.

Well, the demons could be associated with them certainly, Doom is Pride,SF is Gluttony,SD is Greed, QOP is Lust, remaining three could be demons we don't know like Ezhtok or whatever the name of the demon that gave BS it's weapons, it could qualify as Wrath(leaving Envy and Sloth completely unknown). And I do think the seven hells are version of Dante's Divine Comedy.

So there's this picture of one creature, weak and cowering, and another far greater being sometimes speaking through its mouth.

i think "the master" is actually you, the player, and shadow fiend is breaking the fourth wall by saying "master, nooo" when he dies. the game's written lore says there's a bunch of theorys people have about what's SF deal with souls, and all of them are confirmed by the in-game responses.
