Great video! Splitting the audio into each camera with mic 1 on cam 1 and mic 2 on cam 2 is not a bad idea. It does add more complexity to the project having to monitor two separate camera audio signals. One idea is to get a recorder/mixer and send to each camera. That way you'd have a single point audio monitoring place and it's also recording and sending to the camera so it's getting 3 recordings of audio. The thing to consider is audio latency on the send to the cameras. The pro audio/mixers have very little latency, but with higher price tags.:-) This is something I am researching because 2025 is going to be where I up my audio game. As they say it's 51% of the video! I'll let you know what I discover.
@@timdanyo898 that’s a great idea actually, I never thought of that. I’ll have to look into it 🧐 Let me know what you find out, I need to step up my audio game as well
Good stuff, Scott! This seems like a great gig! - As far as audio, I’ve been enjoying the Rode Wireless Pros for their ability to record internally. It’s saved me a few times recently from short drop outs. Not sure if your current set up has that feature? You could always run a Tascam dr-10 on your talent. I’ve had a set forever. They don’t transmit (internal record only) but have been rock solid and provided good and cheap peace of mind when I’m a one-man crew. 🍻
@@RZtheDP do you need the app to record internally with the Rode Pros? I have the Rode Wireless Go II, which can record internally I think, but you need to use the app. So it’s not very efficient. I’ll look into that Tascam. A lot of this could be solved with an extra crew member to monitor both camera and audio. The struggles of one-manning it! Thanks for the suggestions!
@ for sure! (about more crew). I only used the app for initial set up. I have it configured so that I can start/stop the internal recording by pressing a button on the transmitter. You can also set it up so that as soon as you pull the unit from the charging case, it will automatically start recording (internally). Handy feature but I don’t know if the Wireless Go has it. Hope that helps!
