it would be fine if the religion of the oligarchs was sound, but it isnt. it seems to be intersectionality, by which we are depopulated through antagonism. the means for depopulation should be more logical
great video! please keep sharing this information! I'm speaking to the channel/team who put this video together, but also everyone reading and watching - awareness is power, the world will be better when we share information we think is powerful and important! long live critical thinking!
in 2013, Jaron Lanier published the book "Who Owns the Future?"; therein he pointed out that all benefits accrue to the "top level" server (in any networking scenario); this seems to apply to network apps like those of Facebook, Google, Amazon; from the early days of the internet, there was some consideration of 2-way linkage of web pages (to retain provenance information, which could have been used for "trickle down" reimbursement to contributors, such as Facebook posters), but that was rejected (for expediency?)
I think it is stupid to call people left or right we all have the same goal of making a better world regardless of what political side your on and technofeudalism is that what makes this world worse
Not true. conservatives seeķ to preserve the existing power structures and asymmetries discussed. There is no left wing power, only centre right posing as opposition
I think it would be fair and correct to say that Marx was 100% correct in his analysis of how capitalism works, but 100% wrong about what would happen after capitalism. He predicted revolution, but did not realize that capitalism would produce a world in which revolution is impossible.
Very thought-provoking video. I would only contend that technofeudalism seems to be a predictable development of capitalism-a _supplementation_ rather than a _supplantation._ Nevertheless, I share Varoufakis's apprehensions regarding the deleterious direction technofeudalism is taking us, especially considering how younger leftists so obdurately detest this notion.
Nice vid. It's a bit of a misunderstanding to say techofeudalism as THE END of capitalism. As i see it, capitalism itself isn't really anything more than neo-feudalism

capitalism and beofeudalism have one difference: big money printing and exception making gouverment or not. when the favouritism of gouverments takes hold, companies bloat unnaturaly and can become feuadal lords in codependance with the gouverment. what is needed is a small decentralized gouverning system, and strong binding to laws of big companies. that takes both from the libertarian and socialist playbook. capitalism, as in the free market, works exceptionaly well on the middle scale. on huge scales of few powerfull it devolves to feudalism though (same as centralized socialism did. its a flaw of any large enough system with effectively a few powerfull at the top). and on the lowest scale a protection to not fall out of the market is required. when there is actual choice, markets are the best. but when there is coersion by lack of alternatives (be it one big or mutiple coluding factors), especialy for necessary goods, it becomes extortion. skipping markets all together makes things a way to many interst power play though. that has failed often enough.
Bumping for visibility, Godspeed to you all.
I'm a leftist and I agree with everything you're saying. Techno-feudalism and plutocracy is not the answer.
if you understand what he's really saying and you're not climbing out a window, then you dont get what he's sayin
As a Neo-reactionary I find this to be an absolute win

Yeah but can there ever be a system without hierarchy? Then everything is like feudalism.
