Just point to a person, choose them, do that five times, done. I am baffled as to why this table even exists. Statistics is maddening. It's either too easy or too confusing, I'm not quite sure
Because that method of just picking people even though you think it’s random is not what you suggesting is non probability sampling method which is a referred to us Convenience/haphazard sampling ….
I have a question so i can understand this better: In my text, a population of 800 people are assigned numbers 001-800 and all three digit numbers over 800 are discarded. In this example, could you also just use numbers 01-12 instead of dividing them up into baskets? I understand that this would mean you would have to discard a lot of numbers BUT is it still an applicable way of random sampling? Thanks!
this is because if there was a population up to 10 individuals (units) we can assign each individual a single digit, (i.e. 0-9). Once greater then 10 we must use multiple digits to represent any given individual as you cannot repeat a single digit to represent two different individuals. In this case, we used 0-99. Once population size is greater then this range we must yet again assign a greater number of digits to each unit. Hope this helps (someone), took me a minute to understand as well
Hi sir I want to generate random numbers from 0 to 9 and taking two numbers example :4 and 9 and how to predict next upcoming number is even or odd Please reply Sirr

People tend not to give actual random numbers. That's why tables exist.
real life problems used to be more complex than this, plus now they use random number generators anyway.
Humans naturally perceive things left to right so blindfolding may be bias aswell

In statistics random doesn’t mean haphazard
what happens when you run out of numbers on the table i'm dying trying to find anything help
I have a group of random number that I will like to predict Which number will appear next

Yes, that would work just fine.
How you find the value of A,B,D.....L?
Nobody knows what you just said. except the person who thinks he does.
do we like stop the 2-digit compartment of the table when we reach our desired number for our sample?
this is a stupid question but i'm sure the answer's yes
Yes
Thank you.
I rarely speed up videos but this one... wow
Thank you!
Is this used to play the lottery?
I’m in 7th grade. Why am I learning this?????
where did u get 100 again? and why?
00 plus 01 to 99. So you get a total of 100 numbers

@@CanadainSpartin117 I will pretend that I understood even though I need this for my class and have no idea where or how the numbers are coming
Have a population of 01-200 what do I do from here.
What if we reach the row end? Where do we continue? In the second row or?
Great! Thanks a lot!
