I don’t understand all the negative comments about Sinan. He didn’t know Hazan when he plotted the whole hotel fiasco. He was a jerk back then, but Hazan has been changing him. His guilt holds him back from surrendering to his feelings for her. But I do believe he loves her. It’s my first time watching this great series, so maybe I don’t have all the pieces yet, but so far this is MHO.

I guess the reason why they have so many cats walking around is because they don't have proper animal control measures on the one hand and the climate is very mild, so cats can survive even in winter on the other hand. In Russia, where I live, if a cat is homeless and fails to find an owner or shelter before winter comes, they will just die. However in the South of Russia the situation is the same as in Turkey - they have lots of cats in streets because winters are much milder there
