      movies from the late 70's through the 86's Were great, You got Robo-Cop, Smokey and the bandit, Convoy, Top Gun and Dukes of hazard. Most of them were about going against expectations of others and going through a rough patch of life and ending in a good way. I'm glad to see tv before everything went to CGI or Digitally altered media.

      I wish Sam Peckinpah's initial two-and-a-half hour version existed before they fired him and edited down to 90 minutes but at this point I'm pretty positive any existing footage from this movie has long been thrown out or destroyed. Studios did not hold onto extra reels like they do now since most everything is digital and I'm not even sure if they still use actual 35mm film cameras anymore

      спустя годы -- фильм без сюжета похож на один большой тупорылый комикс...для наивных дурачков в СССР, в США его мало кто смотрел, ибо бред сивой кобылы. За наезд на полицейского и не исполнение требования властей их бы там по крошили в мелкую капусту и замели под коврик.

    • @olegdivov
      @olegdivov 3 года назад +2

      @@igord1740 Простите, вам имя режиссера "Сэм Пекинпа" ничего не говорит, вот прямо от слова "вообще"? :)
      Тогда просто справочная информация. "Конвой", который, как вы уверяете, "в США мало кто смотрел", в 1978 году собрал у себя на родине 45 миллионов долларов и занял таким образом девятое место по продажам. Чтоб было, с чем сравнить: первое место взял "Бриолин", "Супермен" третье, "Челюсти-2" пятое. На всякий случай повторю: это строго национальный бокс-офис.
      Теперь про тупой комикс и бред сивой кобылы: фильм позиционировался как экшен-комедия, и снят на основе текста песни в стиле кантри 75-го года. Круче него в этом смысле наверное только "Battleship", снятый по игре "Морской бой" :)
      Теперь внимание, вопрос: мне, чтобы найти информацию по продажам "Конвоя" в США, хватило десяти секунд, а вам, чтобы выставить себя невеждой - полминуты, не меньше. Вам не кажется, что узнать правду тупо _быстрее_ и _легче_, чем писать в комментах ерунду?
      Не сочтите за оскорбление.

It was, to most non-truckers, a novel way to fight back against the new 55 mph speed limit and the scourge of radar. There was a boom in the radar detector market. And it introduced a lot of drivers to the American big truck culture. I can't remember when but my dad (back in the very old days) used to copy all kinds of movies on to VHS tapes and Convoy was one of those movies.
    Convoy was (and still is) one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. In my mind back then: ''Fights were cool, trucks were cool, messing around with the cops was cool...¨.
    Enough rabble babble from my part.... Rest easy Kris Kristofferson (Rubber Duck). Now you are free to roam wherever you want across the US.

    Kris Kristofferson😅. Saw him in concert when he was 80yrs young, played acoustic for 1 1/2 hours while standing with no sip of water. Must have played 30 songs, felt he was singing directly to me, masterful storytelling. Have been to a lot of concerts and his was one of the best. He’s a Rhodes Scholar, the man is smart and he’s darn sexy here.

    C.W. McCall was William Fries, a commercial artist and musician who worked in advertising. He created C.W. McCall for an Old Home Bread advertising campaign in the early '70s. He wrote the lyrics and sang the song heard in the ad, while Chip Davis, who worked for the same ad firm, wrote the music. (Davis founded the group Mannheim Steamroller in 1974.) The ad was a hit and won a Clio Award, leading to more ads and a series of C.W. McCall singles and albums. "Convoy" was his biggest hit, but he had 5 other singles reach the top twenty or better on the country charts. He died in 2022.

    Фильм моего далёкого детства - конец 1980-х годов. Смотрел в кинотеатре "Ударник" в Минске (Белоруссия). Кинотеатр уже давно снесли. Фильм "Конвой" в родном американском прокате провалился меньше 10 миллионов зрителей, но в СССР удачно выстрелил и побил рекорд проката - 35 миллионов кинозрителей! Хотя режиссером числится Сэм Пекинпа большую часть времени съёмок он провёл в своём трейлере, употребляя алкоголь и наркотики. Фильм доснимал его друг Джеймс Коберн со второй группой режиссеров

      Тоже тогда так и не посмотрел. Ну или фильм не отложился в памяти, что вряд ли. Возможно, он был помечен как "до 16", из-за обнаженки в кадре.
      Ведь помню же Кинг-Конгов, Переключая Каналы, Крокодила Данди, Кокон, Шпионов, как мы, Полет Навигатора, Никогда не говори никогда, и прочее старье, бывшее тогда почти свежаком, и крутившееся в нашем сельском кинотеатре наряду с Фантомасами и Зитой и Гитой...

    • @Luisburg
      @Luisburg 3 года назад +3

      @@evgeniyshamshin9641 , нет чувак, если бы ты смотрел этот фильи подростком в то время - не забыл бы. У нас после просмотра фильма была мода - не отходя от кинотеатра обсуждать фильм всей компанией. Курили, смеялись и цитировали эпизоды.
      Этот фильм был бомбой. Чего только стоит связь по рации дальнобоев, которая едва ли стала всеобщей даже в 2000-х в Роисси.
      И фильмы которые ты перечислил были позже в прокате лет на 10.
      Во время "конвоя" крутились Ангар 18, Спасите конкорд, Игрушка, К сокровищам авиакатастрофы, Легенда о динозавре.

    The whole CB Radio thing that this popularised was (to outsiders) hilarious. There was a lad near us who had a radio strapped to his bicycle (motorcycle battery on his rear rack) who took himself very seriously. I used to hitch-hike a lot in the few years after this and lots of truckers were keen to show off their CB gear and 'patter'. Can see it helping to pass long hours behind the wheel.
