My answer to each question :
Q1.
Reduction / Oxidation -
In reduction, oxygen is removed from the reaction or hydrogen is added or gaining of electron. While oxidation is addition of oxygen or removal of hydrogen or losing of electron.
Ex : CuO + H2 -> Cu + H20
Here CuO is reduced and H20 is oxidised.
Exothermic / Endothermic -
In Exothermic reaction, heat/energy is released while in Endothermic reaction heat/energy is absorbed.
Ex : Photosynthesis is endothermic while respiration process is exothermic
Combination / Decomposition -
When two or more reactants react together to form single product, it is known as combination reaction. When single reactant break down into two or more products, we call sucv reaction - decomposition reaction.
Ex : H2 + O2 -> H20 (Combination);
H20 + electricity -> H2 + 02 (Decomposition)
Q2. P is Silver Nitrate and Q is Silver Bromide.
2AgBr + Sunlight -> 2Ag + Br2
This reaction is decomposition as well as endothermic.
Q3. When two reactants react to produce a non aqua-soluble compound which we call precipate, such reaction is called precipitation reaction.
Ex : Na2SO4 + BaCl2 -> BaSO4 + NaCl
Here, BaSO4 is a precipitate
Q4. According to Arrhenius, Acid are those substance will disassociate in water to give H+ ions while bases give hydroxide or OH- ions during disassociation.
Q5. (a) During respiration, energy is released along with CO2 and H2O. Hence it is considered exothermic reaction.
(b) Already did in Q1
(c) CuO is reduced while Zn is oxidised
Q6. Aluminium oxide is one of the some metal oxides which can react with both acids as well as bases. Such oxides are called amphoteric oxides.
Q7. Zn, Mg and Pb will react with dil. HCL since they are placed higher in reactivity series than Hydrogen but Cu will not react since it falls below in reactivity series when compared with hydrogen.
Q8. Ethanol / Ethanoic -
Ethane containing OH in its chain is ethanol while ethane containing O and OH (or -COOH) in its chain is ethanoic acid.
Consuming Ethanol feels warm while ethanoic acid (acetic acid) tastes sour.
Ethanol can't react with carbonates while ethanoic acid can.

Q9. When HCl is produced more than sufficient in our stomach, we face acidity. It can be treated with mild base like Mg(OH)2.

Q11. Ionic compounds consist of cation (positivitely charged ion) and anion (negatively charged ion). They break bond in molten state and hence lose electrons during the process. These free electrons conduct electricity.
Q12. As we consume sugary substance, bacterias in our teeth release acids which cause tooth decay (when the pH reach below 5.5) in our teeth made up of calcium phosphate. Toothbase is a mild base which neutralises the acid produced saving teeths from tooth decay.
Q13. CH3CHBr2 : 1,1-Dibromo-Ethane
BrCH2CH2Br : 1,2-Dibromo-Ethane

Ans 15 -A Saturated hydrocarbon is a hydrocarbon in which all the carbon-carbon bonds are single bonds. Example methane, propane etc
Unsaturated hydrocarbon is an hydrocarbon in which the carbon-carbon bonds are either double or triple. Example ethene,propene , ethyne, propyne etc
Ans 23)- (i) H² is formed at cathode and O² at anode.
(ii) H+ ions at cathode take 2 electrons to form H² and 2 moles of H+ ion form 1 mole of H². OH- ions at cathode release 2 electrons to form H²O and O² and 2 moles of OH- ion form 0.5 mole of O². Hence, volume of one gas is twice to that of other.
(iii) Dil. H²SO⁴ is added to make water conduct electricity as distilled water can't conduct electricity.
In 18th questions
There are 12 bonds present in cycloburtane
19 bonds present in hexane
